When we lost 21-0 to Bama?

I'm not trying to be negative, but I'm tired of talking about how we almost did something.

The 2011 team didnt "almost do something" they finished the season undefeated and played one of the most difficult schedules that any team has in the past 10+ years. If im not mistaken they beat the PAC12 (Oregon) & Big East (West Va.) conference champions on the road. oh and the eventual NC Alabama at Bama.

They also happened to WIN the SEC Championship, that alone makes any season a success!

If you call that not doing anything then you are just an insufferable jackass. Obviously they fell short of a NC but to me, and im willing to bet the majority of true LSU fans that season was one of the best seasons that an LSU team has ever had.

Yep. This team is gonna be great for a while. Get used to winning fellas

I'm used to "winning." My men's soccer team wins a lot...same for softball.
I'd really like to win more than 8 or 9 though where the LSU football team is concerned.

As long as the head coach won't change the offense no title in the sec or national title will happen.

Real simple with all but one junior returning this year, it is 2016 or none of the above.

really? this is impossible to do with any accuracy. Do you know what all of the other power conference have in returning depth and recruiting classes. if the answer is no, which it most certainly is, then this is like asking who do you think the president will be in 2050

Makinbacon sees post, realizes LSU lost last 2 home games to bama, one in last second and other in overtime. Thinks to himself, this is my opportunity to bash LSU. Macinbacon seizes opportunity, comes in bashing with both barrels. Admin sees post, smiles, mumbles under breath, YES, you go fellow nega.

We have no clue who the President will be in 2050. We do know who is recruiting well currently, and what the odds are to win it this year. So no...its not nearly the same.

Solid reasoning...except same head coach has won 3 div titles, 2 sec titles, 1 nc and played for another... Dumbass

How about trying to get to the SECCG first.

The best chance is 2016. I don't think we'll have a chance though because of the predictable offense LES Miles forces on CAM.

The negativity is hilarious

I like how being realistic gets confused for being "negative" in here.

The best chance for a NC appears to be next season, with decreasing probabilities each of the two years after that. Past history tells us that it's unlikely LSU will win the NC next year (though that doesn't mean there is zero chance)

1. It's very tough to win a national title, period.

2. It's even tougher when you play in a conference that incredibly hard to get through without a loss AND has a school therein that has won 4 of the last 7 championships.

3. Since Les has been here, only twice have his LSU teams not lost at least 2 regular season games. The two teams that lost less than 2 reg. season games failed to win the NC. The one team that did win the title was the only 2 loss team to do so in the last 55 years. Just looking at sheer numbers, the odds are that LSU will lose at least 2 reg. season games next year AND that record won't be good enough to win the title.

I agree and the two years after that seem to be setting up well. However, I just don't EXPECT LSU to win the title

How you haven't been banned with all your negativity is beyond me. You're as bad as any nega in your own right. Name calling is your specialty. Wonder why?

As you bash miles...you fail to mention that in the previous 100+ years prior to miles LSU managed 2 national championships. In the previous 9 years alone, miles has won a nc and played for another....the best in LSU history. Meanwhile you bash miles, which tells me you are either a fan of another school, posing as an LSU fan, or you are one stupid MF. Either way, frick off.

Lmao. How I haven't been banned yet? I actually support LSU and the coaches, and am realistic. Meanwhile pos fans like you lie often on here trying to make LSU and especially the coaches look bad. Just today, in this thread, you were posting about how we should expect 8 or 9 wins like that is the miles normal...which is an absolute lie in order to support your bashing. You are nothing but a pos fan without any sense of reality.
