Yeah Bc playing Alabama at home has really worked out for LSU lately.

The negativity is hilarious.

2010: beat Bama
2012: Chavis cost us this game and a national title
2014: Anthony freaking Jennings took Bama to OT

This is our best team since 2011

Two years into the playoffs and no conference has yet to send two teams to the final four. Therefore SEC championships are the only championships to consider.

The opportunity to win an NC will only come about if we win an SEC title.

I believe we have an excellent chance to take the west and the SEC this coming year and play for an NC.

Nearly impossible to make an informed prediction two and three years out.

'16 - All the talent in the world, junior qb, the rest of the SEC reloads.

'17- Senior QB loose LF but Guice should feel in nicely. '16 class will have a year under their belt. Aranda should have "his" players in place.

'18 - Lose a ton and no idea who the QB is gonna be.

2016 2017 and then 2018

2016
17 starters return.
Offense
- All QBs
- All american RB plus the rest of the RB/FBs
- All but 1 TE (if Gordon gets extra year then all return)
- Every OL on depth chart minus both starting tackles

Defense
- All DL on depth chart minus two 3rd string backups (who played very little at all during their careers)
- Starting MLB and all backup LBs
- Every DB on depth chart minus Mills

We pretty much bring everything back for 2016. I mean outside of the OLB spot, LSU is loaded with talent and experience. I really don't expect it to be hard at all to replace Vadal and Hawkins at tackle. Pocic slides to one spot and Weathersby or Okeke gets the other. Clapp slides to center and Brumfield likely takes RG while Teheuma goes LG. Most likely Divinity and Fowler compete for 1 or both OLB spots and Fowler can play backup MLB as well.

2017
The defense will be insane. Forget about the starters we lose on DL and think about the talent behind them and guys like Gilmore and Herron as seniors who have finally come into their own. We'll be loaded at LB and the secondary just replenishes with a gang of talent.

Pocic is likely the only OL starter gone, giving us 4 of the 5 coming back. Guice takes over at RB with a load of talent behind him and although we lose Dural and Dupre, LSU should be good to go with the talent we have amassed there. TEs will again be GTG and we have a senior in Harris at QB with 2 years of starting experience and a third year of playing experience under his belt.

2018
while this year's insane defensive haul should be truly experienced and loaded in 2018, the offense could be gutted outside of the WR position. We'll lose Harris and backup senior Etling, every OL starter should be draft eligible and we could suffer heavy there, and we'll lose Guice and Williams at RB.

Since I can't honestly predict that far ahead on how good 3rd stringers will be, I'd say 2018 will be #3 but LSU will have the talent and experience at the most important parts, to win the SEC the next two years.

Nope, I still blame the officials for this one calling a mind-boggling personal foul on the BAMA 2. Not saying we definitely score a TD there, but that would have huge difference than settling for three. They kicked our arse in OT.

The player blaming is hilarious. Yes, it's always the players, never the coaches, year in, year out.

Play calling at the end of the game was incredibly stupid.

Wasn't the officials fault either. Vadal should have been smarter than that and just not retaliated. Gotta play smart in the finishing minutes

When we lost 21-0 to Bama?

I'm not trying to be negative, but I'm tired of talking about how we almost did something.

I feel sorry for people who can only think of the NCG when they think of the 2011 season.

One of the most enjoyable times to be an LSU fan and one of the best teams we've ever fielded and yet people look down on them. I'm not saying you should be happy with the NC result, but it's 2016, let it go.

On paper we have one of the best 2 or 3 teams in the country next year. The slightest improvement in QB play should translate to a legitimate shot at the NC next year.

Despite LSU's well-documented QB struggles, the facts bear out that LSU's QBs have improved over time. I'm relatively confident Harris puts it together for NC runs in the next two years.
