Former 49er and CBS Sports Network analyst Randy Cross unloaded on the Boutte suspension just now, "I'da like to have seen at least another game, that he's going to miss Jacksonville St.? Really? Wow! What a terrible...one conference game plus that game..." And he unloaded on Les Miles: "...I don't need the coach or somebody to say he was just following through. No, I don't think so...That was a PR move. I thought it was a little light."

So the USC player that stomped on the Gump's nuts got only half a game suspension against Utah St. Seems like his violation was worse.

It seems that LSU and Leslie are always expected to be much harsher with punishment than the rest.
Intentionally stop someone's sack and get a half game..... no problem

Who gives a shite about what others are getting. He could have ended that guys season or worse. Saying he thought that the play was still going on and then believing him makes LSU look as though it lacks leadership. Given our play on the field, it seems tied to our lack of leadership off of it. One game, mandated by the live IIRCC, is weak. Unfortunately, this is much like our offense, very predictable.

Boutte should be let go for the rest of the season just for being part of the O-line, period(.)

No shite, the kid made a mistake in the heat of the moment. Damn man he didn't get in trouble with the cops, punch a woman, steal something. fricking move on already one game. I'm worried about him actually blocking someone.
