Yet, our fans would probably be moaning if the Reveille picked Florida to beat LSU. We are all homers. Take this stuff with a grain of salt.

I know the editor of the school newspaper personally and hes the biggest hater of LSU football you will find around! I still have yet to figure out why ULL fans feel so much animosity towards LSU, ULL is selling shirts that say "BEAT LSU" in their school bookstore...Can you imagine LSU making shirts that say "BEAT ULL" ...this game will be close for the first quarter and then it will get out of hand real quick ..it will end in a

i'm a member of the painted posse at the LSU games...we've been painting up in the front row since '04 (me since '06). We are seriously considering putting up the score of the series as our paint up this week haha

LSU 957 ULL 22

Or what about ULL = U of Lower Learning

Or ULL = 5th Best In-state

lol...give me some ideas here

Most smaller in-state schools have this same short man syndrome. Basically it is derived from the "we need more school support", "why are you wearing that school's hat when you go here", and "they aren't any better than us" crowd.

It's a very complex emotion. They envy the bigger schools accomplishments, fame, and fan following, which their school does not have. Then, they hate the fact that they envy the bigger school. So, instead of coming to terms with their emotions, they simply project them onto the object that caused the conflict.

In summary, penis envy.

Yea I saw this in a thread earlier and couldn't believe it, until I saw the LSU/ULL stats on the home page. That is a crazy score difference. ULL has no room to talk shite about anything after looking at that total domination!!!!

It's fair to ridicule their football team, but ULL actually is a pretty good school academically in certain departments and for years far outshone LSU in the areas of architecture, engineering, computer science, etc. Make fun of their sports teams...you'll mostly speak the truth, but I wouldn't attack 'em academically unless you do it , dept by dept...assuming you want to speak the truth which I realize has never been a requisite on the Rant...

957-22 gets my vote. That should be shouted. Maybe we cross 1,000 this week. All we need is 43 points, and I have a feeling we'll get there.

Poser exposed.

But seriously, it doesn't take Sigmond Freud to figure out why all of the Louisiana colleges make such a big deal about supporting LSU. It just always seems to be one-sided animosity with primarily apathy on the part of LSU. So, unprovoked hatred has two causes: emotional or intellectual issues. Given we are discussing college vs college, I assumed that the latter wasn't the case (which may have been wrong of me to do). I think anyone with a couple of psych classes in the bank could easily come to the same conclusion.

There are going to be alot of dissapointed Tiger fans wondering around after the game with their head up their arse. If LSU doesn't come to play and there is no mandatory improvement; the Tigers go down. Then people will be wondering if the diehard LSU fans are on Meth.

So you think ULL has no chance?

1986 Miami of Ohio

2000 UAB

Disrespect and taking the other team lightly will get you beat.

7-4 and should have gone bowling.

I know what you mean, but those aren't good examples. Tulane over LSU in '82 and ULM over the Tide in '07 are similar.

Arguably our biggest game all year, the game we've all been waiting for, UL versus LSU

I can't for the life of me understand why ULL fans would think this is there biggest game. Shouldn't there number one goal be reaching a bowl game of some sort? They could beat LSU (which there is a .00000001% chance of that happening) and bomb in the grueling Sun Belt Conference and not make a bowl game. Why wouldn't their biggest game of the year be against a Troy or some other SBC Powerhouse team? Would they rather beat LSU and lose every other game, rather then win the SBC and make it to a bowl game??
