that's a pretty alarming quote right there.

The "team" is not gonna step up. Individuals need to step up and Tharold needs to be one of them, espescially if he thinks he's good enough to be a 1st rounder.

Is everyone just looking around waiting on someone else to step up?

A corner coming off the edge is not our guy,” Hurst said. “The running back is supposed to check that guy. That’s something Zach and the running backs need to be on the same page with.”

I took that more as Hurst taking up for the O-Line against all of the outsiders saying they suck than complaining about teammates.

I get what you are saying, but I think that if everybody does their job, work as a team, then the natural leaders will appear. I think we will be fine.

I'm not feeling too good about this one. Florida's gonna want revenge for last year. We completely humiliated them.

Reid, Mingo, Montgomery, Simon should all be in the others guys ears every shitty play or penalty. All are NFL'ers and we desperately need the leadership. I think that happens this week BTW

I think we are going to expose problems Florida didn't know they had.

I have a theory that at some point college football coaches make so much money that they don 't really care too much about victory.

pretty general statement. are you saying miles is this way? are you saying miles is at fault becasue the chemistry on this team ain't that great? if so, how does a coach "correct" bad chemistry? you don't know do you? it's because you have no clue what you are talking about.

This team is far too talented to implode. Sometimes it takes adversity for a team to suddenly come alive. There is solid leadership lurking in this team....we're seeing signs of it in folks like Montgomery. IMHO losing Blue, Faulk and Mathieu hurt....but hey we got the horses. Now if this O/L can just gel. This O/L has got to take control of the "trenches"....give Mett some time to make the pass plays. Spread out the defense then "BAMM".....a quickie up the middle...with Copeland leading. LSU has shown they can move the ball on the ground.

Would be nice to see LSU occasionally throw in a misdirection play. Don't know if the O/L has adjusted to the position changes to run misdireciton play with success. Come to think...that's not CLM's style of football. For CLM it's "mano a mano". Seem to remember Auburn did this pretty good....the misdirection. We'll all know after this weekend. Anyways that's how I see it.

Also for crying out loud, stop with the QB and company looking to the sidelines just before snapping the ball....drives me crazy. Who can forget that awesome display by LSU last season against Oregon in "Jerryworld". That was something beautiful to see. Shuffle people in and out with the play but PLEASE....blow and go!!!

LSU 13 Florida 7

Speed kills......

To LSU Grandad:

I said it was a theory. More importantly, I said I thought that Les Miles was different in that regard. You immediately lept into an accusatory statement about whether I knew what I was talking about or not. After several years of observation, it has become apparent to me that knowledge about a particular subject and the ability to form a logical thought and express it is not necessarily a prerequisite to posting on Tigerdroppings.

I hope you're joking. All of Mett's hard hits have come off corner blitz

Not really. Brooks didn't really make an impact until half way through the season.

And why is our fan base such pussies when it comes to players answering questions from the media?

It is hard to read a corner blitz, if there is no RB the Quarterback has to see it and get rid of the ball.

Hurst is the white JJ. Sucks at his own job, then blames everyone else. He got interviewed on the CST post game the other day and he was having a fricking panic attack he was so nervous appearing before 132 viewers.
