Quick peek to the MLB draft...

Quick breakdown for you guys on where certain players stand as of today. Starting with current players...
Aaron Nola Jr. RHP - Going to be a mid level first round pick. Will go anywhere from 8-20.
Mark Laird So. OF - As much as it still shocks people Laird could be taken off the board anywhere after rounds 6-10 or could fall because of his leverage of coming back for his junior year. By far the biggest question mark on this team in terms of where will he end up being taken.
Joe Broussard Rs-Jr. RHP - No one on this team has boosted their stock as high as Joe. Don't see him improving on his numbers by coming back and his past arm injury shouldn't scare off any teams the way his velocity has been steady. Could see him going from anyhwere from rounds 5-9.
Tyler Moore Jr. 1B - Another player on the fringe that could be taken off the board in rounds 20-35. Will be interesting to see as reports are he'll sign if the offer is high enough.
Jared Foster, Zac Person, Conner Hale, and Nate Fury are all guys I could see come off the boards towards the later rounds.
On to the signees...quick overview of each
Mac Marshall LHP - One of the top prospects out of an absolute loaded Georgia high school crop this spring. He's always been the one guy Mainieri had on board that was a 50/50 in terms of making it to campus. Get him on campus, he could be another Kevin Gausman, don't and well it's a spot that can be filled. Mac should be taken off the board anywhere from rounds 1S-3 but don't be surprised what so ever if his signing drags on till the end.
Bobby Bradley 1B - A big powerful left handed bat who possesses a trait in the middle of the order LSU has desperately lacked this year in the long ball. Bradley is still a bit raw in his tools, but his build has teams eyeing him from rounds 3-6.
Jake Godfrey RHP - Was one of the top arms his junior year on the circuits before suffering a rough senior campaign where his velocity actually dropped. I could see a team taking a chance on him in rounds 6-10 if they liked what they saw the previous year and feel they can fix his mechanics. If not he'll end up under one of the best pitching coaches in Alan Dunn.
Gregory Deichmann SS - A player who has impressed me quite a bit since his early days as a freshman. While there are mixing reports swirling over where he will go in the draft one thing is certain, his strong commitment to LSU and Mainieri which has stood for close to 3 years now. In light of randomly guessing a round Greg could go anywhere from round 3-4 based on his talent or fall to the 30's due to sign-ability ala Alex Bregman in 2012. Cousin of former LSU player Michael Hollander.
Grayson Byrd SS - Son of former LSU great Paul Byrd. A prospect I see having quite a strong commit to LSU as well and is poised for a spectacular future. 6'3 190 build, great athlete who hits from the left side and can play anywhere on the infield. May get selected but will drop further than his talent due to sign-ability. If LSU is able to land Deichmann and Byrd then Bregman will be handing over the keys to two very polished infielders for years to come.
Alex Lange RHP - Big stocky build, a power pitcher out of the midwest. Reminds me a bit of a young Lance Lynn the way he goes after players and can throw his fastball whenever he needs it. A great prospect who should be drafted but have the feeling he'll go on to be an exceptional pitcher at LSU.
Beau Jordan OF and Bryce Jordan 3B - Two local products who starred in the little league world series along with Trey Quinn among others signing college scholarships. I see both ending up at LSU and making very solid contributions throughout their careers one playing behind the other in the field.
Jake Latz LHP - One of the two players from Lemont , Illinois signing with the Tigers. Latz sits in the upper 80's and will touch 90 from time to time with a plus change up for his age. I see both him and Papierski ending up at LSU.
Mike Papierski C - Teammate of Latz who is a switch hitter standing at 6'3 who will have plenty of time to fill out. Will eventually take over for the three headed monster LSU has had at catcher this season.
Doug Norman RHP - A talented right hander Paul was able to grab out of the state of South Carolina. Has topped out at 91mph, but still needs room to polish his off speed pitches.
Austin Bain SS - Another great athlete and a staple of the way Mainieri has transitioned into finding players who can play multiple positions. What's great about Bain is he can also pitch too with a strong arm which may land him playing time earlier than the infield

I wonder what the Phillies will turn him in to the NCAA for if negotiations go south.

That was sooooo fricked up. Did the phillies ever give a reason why? Besides being vindictive assholes?

No, they didn't. But the player in question is a bit of an enigma also. He got a DUI the other day I think, and in the newspaper report it talked about how he goes by one name, but is legally named something else. Really weird.

People in the know say Laird has already told MLB he's returning to LSU
They all had their MLB meetings before SEC tourney
That's when certain teams ask what round it would take for you to leave

Bain will not play SS, does not have the range for that position.

Quick question Adam? Would any of these guys be draft eligible sophomores?

I saw some mocks a few weeks ago and if they're are 7-20 guys better than Nola, God bless them. He's the perfect MLB starting pitcher.

My grammar is on par with a 6 year old Ethiopian and I don't care.

I don't have the list in front of me. If and when I get it I'll update this post.
Edit: MOT has them on the 2nd page.
