What happens to his draft stock if he cannot attend the combine.

His draft stock will go wayyyyy UP if scouts don't know if he can ever play again.

The combine shouldn't carry so much weight, but we all know it does. It is the freshest thing on everyone's mind.

I agree. All he will be able to do at the combine is get measured and do interviews. However, because the draft is so late, he might be able to do some limited throwing in private workouts in late April (ETA: Assuming he has the surgery before Christmas), just prior to the draft. If he invites the 3 or 4 teams with the most interest - I'm not saying he will be able to make a 1st round argument, but could go high in the second round - particularly for a team who wants to throw the ball downfield - he's got the best arm in the class with which to do that.

I agree, it won't hurt his draft stock but it won't increase his stock either. Best thing that is working in his favor is that Marcus Mariota is returning to school next year.

He was a likely 2nd round pick before the injury and now a likely late second, early-mid third round pick.

Note this now, he will be picked higher than AJ McCarron.

He'll go second round. Cards, Browns, Broncos, Patriots, every team with a more stationary starter and good oline will look to draft him. After Bridgewater, Carr, Manziel, Boyd, is where he'll go. Would have been the third QB off the board had this not happened.

Cards

I think this is the best fit. Vertical passing game, Carson Palmer has one more serviceable year. It just makes sense.
