Would any other team in the country had him playing at center? When you step back and think about how rediculous it was to play the top rated tackle in HS, that is 6'7" and put him at center. He handled it well because he is a well rounded lineman but it may have costed him lots of money in the draft.

I thought Clapp would have been nice at C, Teheuma at G and Pocic at LT.

I hope that our next OC brings in his own Oline coach.

Will not play tackle next level. Received and inside grade last year from NFL. Will play guard next level and ignore the uneducated opinions on here as he was a great center for LSU. Did he get beat on occasion? Yes. Was leverage an issue? Yes. But when you play this game those things happen. Rewatch Auburn. Adams had several plays where he pushed Pocic back and everyone on this board went nuts saying Pocic got owned. A few bad plays does not define owned. He will have a great NFL career inside. Book it

Irony

I can find more projections for him to be a tackle than anything else.

He should have been a LT from day 1.

Irony is the projections you see are from this board. Know for fact he got inside grade from NFL scouts last year but as usual the Rantards know better.

The only reason was because of leverage due to his height. Yes, OT/G should be his position at the next level.

I find quite the opposite.
Projected as the #1 center.

Anyone who thinks the extremely athletic, 300+ lb., 6'7 linemen isn't going to get a look at OT at the next level don't have a clue what they're talking about. Plain and simple.

From the very first article on google:

quote:

What NFL Scouts are saying

"Ethan was a kid who stood out immediately. It was his freshman or sophomore season, he was drawing my eye from the other line prospects when I would roll through Baton Rouge. He's a smart, tough player who offers position flexibility - give me that guy" - NFC North scout

For the NFL, Pocic looks like he has the potential to be a starting center. It would actually be good for Pocic if his listed numbers are exaggerated. A center who is 6-foot-5 is plenty tall enough. Aside from center, Pocic has the skill set to play guard as well. Read more at https://walterfootball.com/scoutingreport2017epocic.php#8Kd7Zo95ZOKD4MC3.99

WalterFootball.com

I found similar "skill set" summaries from several other sites.

So, you'll take Walterfootball.com over the opinion of an NFL scout?

Got it.

Also, this is why he won't be a center in the NFL.

Thanks for giving quoting that yourself so I didn't have to dig through the article.

Where does it say he's going to play OT?
I'm not saying you're wrong, I just can't find it.

Everything I've read says center/guard.
