Why would a 62 year old man making 4 mill a year feel he needs to change what he's doing? What's the worst that can happen, he get paid 15 mill to sit at home eating canes and going watch his kid's sports activities.

Honestly, I'm mentally ready to have similar season next year as this year. Not much changes and the same complaints will be replayed here on the Rant!

The only thing Miles will change is his underwear and socks every day.

I can tell you one thing, he isn't going to change to make you happy, He will change to win more football games though. They already started changing the offense this past season. Really starting towards the end of last season. They will continue with the development of the offense going forward as well. Already have seen more jet sweeps, read options, shotgun formations, 3-4 wr sets, usage of misdirection and motion, pick play on a pass, attempted passes to TE's and underneath routes (harris is just terrible at this or we would have seen more), just a lot of things different going on with the offense that we have never seen before out of a Les Miles or Cam Cameron team.

Question for the "Let's start another thread to bash Miles even though he is the coach through at least next year " crowd:

Why?

Miles ain't gonna change shite. He will do all the same stuff next year and run the offense in "safe mode" again.

Problem is other teams have caught on to his Bo Schembechler playbook and will be able to gameplan for us. We will lose. It will get worse than just bama because other teams will do the same thing (see arky and OM this year). We will end up firing him.

We are about to go to a 3rd tier bowl game for the 2nd year in a row. I don't think we have even been to one of those since the Dinardo era (before last year's Music Chitty Bowl)? People are really underestimating the Decline Miles is on and how hot his seat will get when we lose games next year. He's not going to be able to wait 2 more years and retire.

Expect no change because he is REALLY in charge now and he will show who is the boss now - every game, all game long.....

Exactly...and for good reason. Hell even look back at bama and ole miss last year...no passing game to speak of and still beat om and should have beaten bama.

I honestly believe his system works also....IF, and that's a huge IF, but IF they have good qb play. I believe he thought he had that this year...especially after Florida. I don't know what happened to Harris but once he lost his confidence against bama it was over the rest of year...which is why I don't understand why we didn't at least see Jennings some.

I agree, miles won't change. He also probably won't even make a staff change. But,this is wrong:
quote:

he get paid 15 mill to sit at home eating canes and going watch his kid's sports activities.

quote:

Could Coach Miles Simply Not Work and Collect All the Money from LSU?

Again, probably not.  This is because the contract specifically says that Les Miles has a duty and obligation to find another coaching position.  If he tries to get another job, but doesn’t, that’s one thing.  But he simply cannot sit on his couch collecting his paychecks from LSU.

miles' contract explained

What do you how to accomplish with this thread? And those like them that pop up every 5 minutes?

That those that hope Coach Miles would change would some how see your logic and start hating him?
Change would mean a more successful LSU program.

I don't understand why so many people here need validation from people that disagree with them.
And some want pro Miles people to hate Miles as they do.

A better football program would benefit all fans....... You would think.

I try to make sense of some of these threads then realize I've wandered to the Rant....

this is the rant. they are venting their frustration. they're angry about the program. didn't see one invective against miles. somebody insulted him about not being able to dress himmself but that's frustration.

just like you can't help but be happy when you win 8 or 9 games every year they can't help but be unhappy losing 3 to 4 games every year.

Lol. If they have a qb then you can't defend this offense.

We have a great shot to win 10...0r what would have been 10...exceeding most peoples pre-season expectations....yet you are on here blatantly bashing. Man.
