With Blakeney committing yesterday, what's our roster look like for next year? Could we have to process guys? I don't think it's a given that Martin and Mickey would leave. In my opinion, they look like 2nd rounders in the draft so far.

martin and mickey are most likely gone so we'll have space for some other recruits

If both leave, the addition of JaQuan Lyle and Jack McVeigh would be huge. I think both of these additions will happen regardless of players leaving early.

JaQuan Lyle
That would give us 3-4 shooting guards. Depth is great, but why would Lyle want that for himself?

lot of ball to be played but one, possibly two guys could enter the draft. Mickey has improved thus far, and he isn't going to grow much more if at all, if he gets a reasonable grade or whatever it is he is looking for, he will go. Martin has the measurables but is still learning how to play and how to use his body to his advantage. you could say he could come back and look to take another step, but someone will take him and try to coach up those skills in that frame if he makes himself available.

again, lot of ball to be played.

You don't have to play one at a time. Especially if Martin goes pro, we could play smaller for a good bit of time. Lyle would be a little something different I think with his slashing too.

If Mickey and Martin stay (doubtful) LSU will have 3 open scholarships. 2 of those three are taken by Simmons and Blakeney. Odo is the only senior on this year's team

I understand that rotations are important in basketball, and for LSU this is a great problem to have...just think of what Johnny inherited.

But where's our "Big" for next year? Are we banking on Robinson? Or do we just play 3 forwards?

Also, where would McVeigh fit in?

I agree that's a problem. I think a year will do wonders for Robinson though. Not saying he's going to be a world beater, but just practicing against other bigs your size vs. dominating shorter 17 year olds in high school shows you a lot of how you have to develop post moves and play smarter. That and I think being in a college strength and conditioning program for a year will be good for him too.
