Question For My LSU Brethren

Guys,
I'd like to begin by saying that LSU is my second favorite SEC school. I enjoy your team's playing style and think you have an excellent fanbase. However, do you guys honestly think you have the better team? I'm not really convinced either way, but the first game was only decided by a FG in OT and like it or not, a lot of folks seem to think Bama had the better team that day...Please, enlighten me

I'm absolutely convinced that we have the better team.
We beat you in your stadium, held you out of the redzone save for one trip and have played and dominated a tougher schedule.

Let me ask you this... What is wrong with Bama that they would LOSE a game of that magnitude AT HOME?

If BAMA had the better team, why were they "never" in the red zone? I say never because I don't have a stat sheet in front of me. I don't recall them getting closer than the 20.
Yeah, it was nothing but FGs on both sides of the ball but at least LSU got down to the 1 inch line. BAMA didn't.
Care to explain that?

the score indicates a close game between closely matched teams. the team with a little more depth appeared to take over in the 4th and OT.

a lot of folks that picked bama to win used this as their justification as to why their pick was wrong.
either way, none of it matters, its going to be another battle of will come jan 9th.

Technically, Bama went into the endzone on the pick 6, however, a self-inflicted penalty nullified the score.

Honestly: I don't think LSU is substantially better than Bama, nor is Bama substantially better than LSU. I believe my assessment is reflected in the first game we played. Neither team dominated the other; the game was decided in OT by 3 points.

22 Bama offensive/defensive starters vs 22 LSU offensive/defensive starters is fairly equal...
LSU wins at depth and special teams.

deeper, not necessarily better

non-Russian novel answer:
Football has three phases; Offense, Defense, Special Teams...
Offense and Defense are about equal....LSU has FAR better Special Teams...
Depth favors LSU...Bama has TR and Maze, LSU has FOUR running backs that will keep pounding at you...and defensively, the depth on the d-line and secondary is absolutely incredible...the third and fourth quarters belong to LSU...go back and look at the last 7 minutes of regulation and overtime...LSU totally took over the game at that point...you can't wear this LSU team down...Bama can be worn down and LSU did it!!!!
Coaching: the Hat is US Grant to lil' Nicky's RE Lee...Nicky can't figure Les out...

Also, LSU's offense has the potential to have different identities on offense - power running game with play-action passes mixed in or speed otion-type.
I Kige this

Butch, that general thing is way off base. Lee was a far superior general but its like he was taking Louisiana College to play LSU. Grant just had far too many resources, and Lee still put a damn good fight..

If Bama was the better team on Nov 5 and still lost how do you expect to beat the much improved, healthy and rested LSU Tigers?
Posted on 12/12/11 at 7:34 am to Statestreet
Beat Alabama in their home stadium. Enough said. We have. beaten Alabama 2 years in a row. We are subject to beat the elephants 4 times in row including twice in 2012. If we win the next 2, Saban will go into full meltdown.

Yep three things happened with your whining:
1. You marred you REP forever
2. You called the Tigers ineffective and losers, you made the same mistake the Japs did in Pearl Harbor, you have awoken a sleeping Giant who is going to demolish you guys.
3. You have established a long term hate for your program, Nationally.

We were more deserving than anyone available. Don't lose to Iowa State and expect a handout.
