Question about the Collins situation

Correct me if I'm wrong but according to the report, the girl was shot after saying the suspect couldn't have her car, correct?
Well, since she died, how does anyone even know that? The only way this is known is because a witness said it happened. So where is this witness?
This story is probably the wildest/saddest story I've heard in a long time.

That was my thought from the very beginning. If there were no witnesses to the crime, how does anyone know that she was shot after refusing to allow the suspect from using her car. There is much more to the story than what is being reported.

I'm trying to figure out why the BRPD leaks his name out there and then claims they aren't ready to talk to him. Pretty fricked up.

And another thing, did Collins date her a year ago? 6 months ago? Last week? Were they in a committed relationship ever? I mean surely these things are not hard to find out.
Why no mention of other boyfriends? Isn't it usually common knowledge among family and friends, who the father is when women get pregnant? Or at least a pretty good idea as to who is the baby daddy.
I've only seen Collins name mentioned in this whole thing, yes he is high profile but why is it okay to make his name public and no other names? Smells fishy to say the least.

No way. Is this some sort of new tactic being employed by police forces across the country? You mean that they don't always lay their evidence out in public before even questioning persons of interest????
