Thinking about bringing my 4 year old to his first game at the Box. Will I have any problems finding tickets outside if I drive up tomorrow, and do I need a ticket for him? He will be sitting on my lap the whole time anyway

I don't know what the rules are about tickets to children but you will not have a hard time finding tickets.

Won't have an issue at all buying one from the box office or from someone outside the stadium.

Ok. Please update me on this after the second inning. If you can get a 4 y/o to sit in your lap for more then 2 innings, you'll be the first that I know of. If you don't leave the game before the 5th inning, you will also set a record. Taking the baby to the playground out there will help you out a lot, and you'll be able to stay longer.

He will sit and stay wherever I tell him, as long as I keep feeding him peanuts.
It is actually very cool how interested he is in baseball. He asks me about 100 questions a minute, but I don't care, because after all it is baseball. Some of my favorite memories are going to the dome with my dad for the Busch challenge/Winn Dixie showdown. I hope that I am doing the same for him. He has come with me to 20+ games at Turchin, but I cannot wait to bring him to the Box.

Wish they still did this. I was a bat boy when I was a kid.

Go to the ticket exchange and get tix. I bought grand stand seat last Sunday for $15. They are all face value.

Go find the white canopies closest to the third base entrance to Box
They seem to always have extra tickets

Thats great. Makes it enjoyable for both of you. I've just never seen it in person in the 23 seasons I've been going. But if he does get restless, don't forget the playground.

while i agree to an extent, i know i personally wasn't like that as a child, or so i am told. i used to make my grandparents stay until the end of the game in a blowout midweek game. why? because todd walker or armando rios might get another at bat. i was (am) mildly obsessed with lsu baseball, though, and at a very young age. i guess i was a little olde than 4, but the child restlessness factor should have still be in full force at 8
