I'll never forget my Dad taking me to my first game. It was either '73 or '74 against Tulane. Tiger Stadium was and still is a mystical place to me. Enjoy kid.

Must have been '74 for you because my first game as a kid was '73 at Tulane and we lost. I wasn't even a Tiger fan then...but cured that problem when I got older.

You won't have much fun. All of the really really cool LSU fans don't waste their time going to games like UAB. And those that do go will leave by the half. All that will remain are just a bunch of tired old folks that love LSU no matter where, when, or who they are playing. But they don't count because they aren't cool and they stay for the entire game because they have nothing better to do.
The cool fans look down on them with good reason.
By all means come to the game but don't expect too much.

if your going non sec, better be home opener. most will want to see if the O has changed. But it will clear out by halftime and hopefully for guys like me who will stay, we get to see some of the young cubs get pt.

I was thinking about the UAB game on september 7th.

Can I ask why that game? If you have a choice and want the full experience... pick Auburn, Florida or A&M.

Every game in Tiger Stadium is a good game. Major SEC teams make for a great game. Make the UAB game and take in all the sights of game day - Mike's cage. GBFTL down the hill, GBFTL performance in the PMAC prior to the game, Student Union, Gift Shops, tailgating, music and cajun food outside the PMAC and Great Tiger Fans.

Not a chance, there will be several thousand empty seats at kickoff and half the crowd will leave at halftime.

Do it. You will have a great time and make an effort to come back for a confrence game later. It never gets old.
