I live in Alabama and I've been an LSU fan my whole life. Never been to a game (family are bammers) but dad will bring me to one this season. I was thinking about the UAB game on september 7th. I just want to know if I will get the full experience of a loud LSU football game and a game day on a saturday night in death valley!? Thanks and

No, not only do our players take games off so do our fans. It will be loud but the atmosphere wont be electric like the historic games you think of.

As a first time attendee, you'll probably enjoy and appreciate it. Those of us who have been in it during those memorable games are spoiled.

The vibe won't be as good as a big SEC game, but it will still be a cool experience.

Have fun!

It's your first game, it'll be memorable no matter what. The electric atmosphere of a big SEC game won't be there, but it's still tiger stadium. Enjoy yourself!

It will be decent because its only the second game of the season. There is definitely more tension in the air when you have a high ranked team or a high profile player like Jadaveon Clowney coming to town.

Two positives: It will definitely be a night game which is way better than a day game and there should be a good crowd on hand.

OH yeah, one weird thing this year is no South Endzone scoreboard due to construction of new South Upper...

If you want to live the experience you have to be in your seats 30 before game. Pregame starts at 15:00 min to kick off as shown on scoreboard. Also good to watch the team parade on foot down Victory Hill to the stadium...

Yeah at least it's first home game and at night. It won't be as loud as say Bama, but any lsu game is better then no game.

The stadium will be feeling good and loud for at least a half if the offense comes out and looks good. I think everybody will be happy with a decent offense that everyone will be hyped. If it becomes a blowout people will leave early but so what that won't impact your fun that much.

A sec game is always better but you will have fun. Sit in the lower bowl if you can so you hear the crowd and band better. Tailgate all day. See the sites around the stadium and check out all the pretty girls. Best in the sec.

you want to see the band come down the hill....it will be a good crowd being the first home game , especially after playing for victory vs tcu ...

Get there early and enjoy some tailgating. Won't be crazy like it would be for Alabama, Florida or other big games but you'll get to watch your favorite team in the greatest venue. enjoy it. Hope you get to experience all the good tailgating stuff. Be sure to catch TGBFTL marching in. And go visit mike a couple hours before the game. Idk how old you are or else I'd send you to some good party spots. If you're older I'd invite you to the RV's. if your younger, there's a number of place i'd send you.

Are you of age? Can you drink?

It'll be the best OOC home game by a mile, so if you can't swing an SEC game then the home season opener should be your next best option.

I highly doubt it. Game time temps in stadium could hit mid 90's

I'd suggest waiting a few weeks until the Auburn game on Sept.21st. Will probably be a night game. (And possibly the only night SEC game of the year in TS) You should be able to find a few tickets for sale outside the stadium.

See the band and the team go down victory hill for sure. Also try to see Mike. Like everyone said the atmosphere won't be like an SEC game but a unique experience regardless. Stop by some tailgates and be sure to tell them it's your first LSU game. Take some time to admire the campus bc it's a special place.

Congratulations for your choice of teams, and the endurance to hang in there despite being surrounded by Gumps. Enjoy your experience and come back soon.
