LINK interesting article from the advocate
quote:
Jennings will start the game, but the two quarterbacks are expected to split reps “50-50,” one source told The Advocate.

Have to get him ready in case something happens to Jennings

Things like this have been said before about other QB's only to have them not see the field. You never know what Les is going to do. I'd like for Harris to get some reps and show what he can do, his limited action last week wasn't a fair test. But they have to feel pretty good about Jennings going forward. After a shaky first half, he did everything you could ask of a QB in that situation.

It's over for this season at least. Still have to get the back-up some reps in case of injury, etc.

According to Geaux247, Les said it's over in today's press conference. So that source can go eat a sack full of horse dicks.

Completely agree.

Nah it's over. They wouldn't be taking 50/50 reps if LSU was playing a SEC team next week.

Its over for now, but BH will get couple snaps at least just for work.

Well we'll be up by 25 at half.
There's nothing Harris can do in the next two games that will keep Jennings from being the starter against State. However, Harris needs to get some reps.

According to my field sources, your intel is correct

Yea I'm calling BS, Jennings is the starter, and maybe Harris will play the 4th once we are up by 30, but we need to get Jennings as many reps as possible IMO

Yes Harris needs to play. He has to get comfortable and these next two games are perfect for him. Doesn't mean he will supplant Jennings; however, these two are our QBs for at least the next two years and probably beyond.

We need to come out guns blazing this Saturday. Not have a lazy, roll your helmet out there type of game LSU tends to do agains inferior teams. We need to let Jennings start, take all the snaps the 1st half and be up 28-0 range... Then the first series of the second half, let Jennings go out, get a score and the rest of the game be Harris'...
That's the perfect scenario IMO

What are you, Mossad?

Seems to me AJ needs all snaps he can get.
I hope it works out like it did for auburn Saturday.
First kid came in put in work, other kid came in 2nd half and got it done too.
Both got quality reps.

It wouldn't surprise me.
I don't think Jennings was so great that Harris can't beat him out. It may just be much more of an uphill battle than we expected.

the coaches know what they have. for harris to play in the first game of his first season as a freshman says a lot to me.
even ryan perrilloux redshirted in 2005, had 4 pass attempts and 3 runs in 2006, and only got some reps each game in 2007.
so for harris to even have played a few snaps against wisconsin is remarkable to me with les miles as the coach.
