was the worst example of pulling quotes and presenting them out of context I have ever seen. That was a very humble interview by a good kid who wants to get better. And his accuracy is his biggest problem, for the most part.
trying to dissect every word out of a teenagers mouth is time consuming, it requires so much effort it leaves you blind to what a dick you are to dissect every word out of a kids mouth

Pretty much the same old tune from question to question. "Go out on the practice field and get better". However, it is not translating to actual play in the game. What happens if you "keep getting better in practice", but not cutting it in the actual games???

I am sure he is a good kid, but he really is not impressing as an SEC caliber QB compared to others in his class (Soph) that have started at other schools.

No it is not pretty obvious.

Coach says they both will play, they are both doing well, but only one gets on the field.

The only obvious thing is how one gets to play and one gets to watch.

Based on Brandon's snapchat stories, he doesn't seem as mature for his age as everyone says. always cutting up in public and stuff. Take that FWIW, but I could see him not being a very hard worker

That's a very honest interview.

Basically they think this kids ceiling is not very high.

Then why the hell is he starting at a major D-1 football program? Any upside he does have (game management is the only one I can think of) can't possible outweigh all of the negatives. If he manages to hang on to the starting job going into next season, we are in deep shite.

I acknowledge that Harris may not know the entire playbook as well as Jennings, and he may not spend as much time studying film, but if he truly is the QB of the future, then the coaches need to bite the bullet and at least let him split the series with Jennings until the season is over. Otherwise, next fall we're liable to hear Miles say that Jennings is the starter because he has the most game experience.

Yeah, it is. Humble kid.

Doesn't have the arrogance one a recent past QB that I try to keep forgetting.

I just think he is in a bad situation and is feeling a lot of criticism and pressure from all around. The coaching staff and some of the players are probably the only things keeping things in proper perspective for this kid.

I would like to ask: "AJ if you are truly a team player and want what is best for the program, when will you step aside to let Harris Develop?"

Are you fricking serious with this?

Yeah. That's just retarded. I wouldn't expect any player at this level to do such a thing. They are, by definition, highly competitive people.

It's not the player's job to choose who starts.

I find it funny that posters on this board think they can tell when a qb goes through his progressions.you don't know the play and you don't know his first read.of course he locks onto a receiver at times but all but a few college qb do that sometimes. If he really never went through his progressions, our 3rd wr wouldn't be in the top 30 in yards. I'm in no way saying AJ is a good qb. I just think it's funny that posters actually think they can tell a qb is going through his reads without knowing the play or who his first read is.

Don't you know Cpt Bengal is The Rant's own Ron Jaworski. He spends hours and hours each week studying film of the passing game so he knows exactly what the reads and progressions are on each pass play.

What possesed him not to run on 4th down in OT ,when the closest thing in red was the bama band?
Not saying he is not a good kid, just saying he neither posses the athletic ability, or decision making ability to be a top SEC QB.Not many people are,but he has had a year and Im scared he has hit his high water mark. Time to develope Harris ,he wasnt rated the #3 dual purpose QB for nothing. If a change isnt made a DAM GOOD LSU team will be wasted next year.

Summary: Jennings knows what to do with the ball but his lack of physical talent is preventing him from a better performance.

Q: When you break down games, how many passes do you blame yourself for?

I think my decision-making in all of those passes is pretty good. I just have to put the ball right in the receivers’ face to make it an easy catch for those guys. Some of the screen passes … sometimes they sniff that out. Got to throw it down. Don’t want to make something worse out of those situations. Maybe a receiver falls down. Got to improvise.

jennings has made some good decisions, but not in all of his passes... that's not reality.

The whole interview he is talking about how he needs to improve and how he feels his play has held the team back from an undefeated season. What more do you want from him in an interview? Serous question.

What do you want him to say? "I'm just trash man, I stare down my recievers, I lock onto Dural, and most of the time my throws are off the mark. Start Harris." He isn't going to say that, becaus ehe wants the start. Anybody would. He is a competitor. He admits in the entire interview that he hasn't been playing well, but jesus he wants to start. If he really did say "I just think Harris is the future and I'm okay riding the pine and being the mentor" we would have a MUCH bigger problem on our hands.
