Seems like every time he gets a handoff at FB he gains positive yardage and he also seems to be a pretty good blocker. Teams can't just key on Fournette if the FB is getting 3 - 5 yards a clip. If they continue to key on Fournette, keep giving the rock to Darrel. He's a heckuva runner by the way and plenty big enough.

He had 1 carry vs. Bama and picked up 5 yards right up the gut against their vaunted D-Line. Why? Because Bama's d-line was keying on Fournette. Why didn't we continue with him at FB?

If we're getting positive yardage from the run game regardless who it is, use what's working. This would also open up things for Fournette as well as Harris.

Hey coaches - start Darrel Williams at Fullback against Arkansas!

I think we all knew it was going to Darrel on That 3rd and short.

But I agree. Darrel may have a better future on this team as a Fullback if his blocking is up to par.

I agree. We should either have DW at fullback, or run from the one back.

Darrel seems like a kid who would do anything to get on the field and show what he can do! I like Bry'Kiethon (no disrespect his way since he's a true freshman), but Darrel is the superior runner and another threat the defense has to respect.

We did some triple option earlier in the year out the I with Darrel at FB. Harris didn't look comfortable but it's a nice read. Plus some FB midline reads out the I would be cool too

Oh look getting creative out the I without going to the spread

Plus he could be trusted more than other FBs catching out of the backfield..... With Guice slowly but nicely progressing at RB, Williams/Fournette in the backfield would be a nightmare for teams to defend

I think Darrell is a much better back than what "knucklehead Les" realizes.

Agreed. I would LOVE to see the old I-formation triple option with DW and LF7.

Having a dedicated blocking fullback was justified with Moore because he was so damn good - hope he can return to that level next season. But Mouton just isn't there yet.

I agree with Williams at fullback with Fournette and in some one back sets. In fact they could interchange the two at fullback allowing Fournette to get out on some pass patterns, but he will have to lead block some to sell it.

I also like Guice setup in the slot for the jet sweep with Fournette. This means Harris will need to run more, but I'm afraid it will turn him into a running QB (rather than Dual Threat QB).

Yep, but he STILL got it.

I'm of the opinion that Williams needs more carries, he's almost a guarantee for positive yards.

These are all great ideas but Les miles is too stubborn to change. That would be admitting he's wrong and that he will not do.

He is too talented as a runner to be relegated as a FB in the I.
