Harrahs and Horseshoe start around $150 and are fully refundable. Just booked Harrahs as a backup.

Any recommendations on where to stay for a group of 8-10?

Looks to me like only professional airbnb type of stuff so far- like the ones inside the MGM (but still kind of off strip). None of the real hotels seem to have anything.

I'm tempted to recommend Mandalay since it's the closest to the game, but that still seems worse than just staying in the meat of the strip farther up.

Harrah’s is a little dated, but they have a Walk-on’s so you got that.

I’ll probably get a suite at Elara, but can’t book until 9 months out.

Added... Rooms at the Nugget aren't listed yet.
Horseshoe & Harrahs are $21 per night using my players card.

My cousin runs a travel agency, she’s been getting calls. She told me that she would have package deals, room, air and ticket. Or Will breakup as needed. I’m it!

I visited it about a month ago.

I’ve never seen so many tatted up skanks and trannies in one place in my life. The pool looked like a cesspool of disease. The number of people in the pool with drinks in hand stood in stark contrast to foot traffic into the bathrooms. You know what that means.

The Flamingo really seems to cater to the LBGTQLOLWTF crowd. The first floor made me think Rupaul designed it with inspiration from Bourbon Street and Baton Rouge’s Bon Marche Mall. It’s the worst location on the strip. I really don’t think there’s a close 2nd.

Good luck with that.

I signed up for the LSU Traveling Tigers package and we are staying at the Mandalay Bay.

But you can stay anywhere on the Strip or within Uber distance, just show up Tiger fans and support our Tigers taking on the boys from Troy!!

If you stay at Mandalay Bay they close down the Hacienda bridge over the 15 to cars and you can walk to the game. Something to consider.

I used to feel the same way, but Caesar’s has fallen…and fallen hard. They are living on their past reputation and doing a very bad job of competing with the heavyweights on the strip (Bellagio, Wynn, etc). Additionally, Caesar’s was one of the six hotels on the strip that was discovered to have bed bugs. It is very expensive for what you get. If you’re going to spend that money stay at The Wynn, Bellagio, Cosmopolitan, Aria, etc.

If you want a more budget friendly option on the strip try The Flamingo (across the street from Caesar’s). All of their rooms are recently remodeled and very nice. It’s much smaller than the mega hotels, but that can be a plus. The casino itself is more in line with what you would find downtown, but it’s not nearly as expensive as the premium properties and still sits in a good location.

Not to be an arse, but something like 5 of the top 7 largest hotels are on the strip. It's not like you have to book a year in advance or worry about being sold it. This is the real Vegas, not Starkvegas.
