McGarity is what is holding back the UGA program, probably more so that Richt. I went to Both LSU and UGA. Take it for what it's worth... from somebody you don't know on a chat board. But this info came from a family who is very close to the situation. I know we've all heard that a lot over the last couple weeks, and NOT pan out with those claiming to have LSU connections. But I believe this source to be "on the mark" regarding the UGA changes. I rarely post, so believe... or not!

All this information from people, and then some people call it BS, I don't. Everybody isn't lying, stuff was/is going down.

Very telling that not one college program was after Steele as a DC, yet we go and scoop him up. Same with Peveto.

Apparently, it wasn't Alleva's call - he was overruled by higher powers..
If this is true I'd be job shopping if I were Alleva. He's not the AD, he's a grossly overpaid Administrative Assistant. I couldn't face my (putative) peers after going through that humiliation.

I believe Steele was the only guy who would work with Raymond and Orgeron. Other DCs would have brought their own guys.
