A little different than what is normally posted here.

Referring to fan un-rest regarding his play.

"It hurts a little bit, but I have broad shoulders," he said in his normal easy-going manner.

"That (last year) was the most humble I had to stay because of the situation. I deserved it because I didn't play the way I expected to play. My confidence level was low at times, which is probably the reason for some of my performances."

He realizes his play was not up to par. Let's hope he is as improved as folks are saying.

This confidence argument is so old. Just play better and the confidence will come. Fix the basics and we will not have to be concerned with confidence being part of the solution.

I agree about fixing the basics and I think that is one of the things that really has happened. I'm not one to judge on the confidence issue cause ive never been boo'ed by almost 100,000 people. I can imagine it isn't great but I think that he isn't making excuses about his play last year and that is a good thing. One of the biggest things people have talked about this offseason is his fundamental improvements. Hopefully that's true and he can transfer from practice to games. I wish him the best of luck.

Everyone realizes including him that he didn't get it done last year. I wish everyone would just get off his back for the next 6-8 weeks and leave him alone, until we see what progress he has made with Krags. Then if he doesn't perform he's fair game for criticism.

If what he said last year was him having low confidence, I can't wait to see what he says when he is confident.

I really hope he breaks it open this season and has a monster year. I've always been a fan of his, even though I probably let my emotions get the best of me last year when he was at his worst, I still want to see him succeed.

This! I am not a big JJ supporter by any means, but that being said I am hoping against all hope that he has turned the corner. He has a lot of talent, but talent can only take you so far in the SEC. Hopefully Krags will help him get over the hump!

You obviously don't know much about sport and success in sport. You don't magically get confident by doing well. You get confident then will yourself to do better. Fake it til you make it.

hell of an attitude man. i guess one can say you have no confidence at all in JJ. i understand where you are coming from but i think he'll be much improved this year. he showed it to me in the cotton bowl. i think our new OC is a shot in the arm for him. he'll never be the most accurate passer in the world, but if his timing is improved and he can hit WR's when they break open i think we'll have one hell of a year. we're gonna need a much improved offense this year as i think our D is gonna take a step back, at least until new leadership steps up.

When he says something they don't agree with they bash him and scream "This is what he should've said!!".

When he says what they think he should've said....they still bash him.

It's nice to see him take some ownership of his failings. Hopefully he has really improved and everyone can say "I told you so."

You see it with every athlete from 6 years old to 36. When they loose they're confidence they don't play well. They start second guessing and forcing the issue. It's part of sports. Hopefully it was not just from the inside, but his overall understanding of the offense. Now that he has a full grasp of concepts and x's and o's he should be more confident.

Knowing JJ's history, it'll be something immature, probably something derogatory to all the haters. I can't wait, really. Deserved to the haters, Cathartic for JJ, and good play for LSU.
