Why do you have so much anger in your heart?

I wonder what TD would've looked like during Denardo. This program has had sustained success and national attention for the last 14 years. Will there be dips in production and said success over that stretch...yes but there is a whole generation of new fan that has no idea what pre-Saban/miles was like. Most of them couldn't tell you the name of the coach before Dinardo.
If Miles is in a real decline and can't right the ship he will be fired and LSU will buy out the rest of his contract. Then hope we don't go the way of Tennessee since firing Philip Fullmer.

It comes mostly from people who never have had any affiliation with LSU whatsoever; therefore, it comes from the same place that gave us Comicon nerds who live to dress as Darth Vader and spend at least 8 hours each day cursing Lucas for affiliating his franchise with Disney.

It's basically uninteresting people with no life and nothing to offer who arbitrarily choose to identify themselves with something far grander than themselves, and I suppose it's ultimately a good thing that they direct so much anger toward things like Star Wars and LSU football and not toward their families.

Coach Miles has had a great run at LSU, no doubt. Great guy, who loves his players and gives 100% to our university. I'm pulling for him and hope he can turn things around.

I don't have any problems giving credit to Coach Miles and his staff for the great things he's done at LSU. However, I guess I'm like a lot of the Miles detractors who see the coaches first 3 year decline.

Sure, in the past he's had a bad season here or there but this is uncharted territory. It's natural for some folks to be concerned. If you're not concerned about it then you're either A) one of those "it's just a game" folks or B) don't understand college football.

If you think that there are LSU fans who, no matter how confident they seem to be in Miles and the team, are not concerned, you're A) an idiot.

I read your post and had to question whether or not Les had ever won a National Championship

No need to point out your reading comprehension difficulties. I referred to Miles winning another national championship, and national championshipS...plural. Not to mention that at least one of the coaches I compared him to also won a national championship.

If you had an open mind and spent less time criticizing and wanting to label everyone who doesn't hold Miles in the absolute highest esteem a negatiger, you would realize I compared him to his idol and only successful coaches. Another to include would be Don James.

The point being that if he ends his career with several more years of good records but no more national titles, he will be remembered by all outside of LSU as a very good coach, but nothing approaching legendary. Much like Lavell Edwards, Don James, Phil Fulmer and the others I mentioned. However, if he wins another NC, he will be viewed by all much differently.

At the end of the day it is just a game for fans. You aren't competing in it. No need to be too emotionally involved. It isn't like these football players are going to war

If Les gets us back to the top and wins another national championship, he will move into that elite group, unless he doesn't win the championship the following year, at which point I will once again remove him from the list.
