A guy that was sitting behind me last night at the game said this and I couldn't agree more.

the defense has been on a downward spiral since that game along with the energy from our players. it hasn't looked like they have wanted to play all season and you pair that with terrible game plans and you have a disasters waiting to happen.

1/9 was the end of faith in Miles for a lot of us.

LSU had a chance to right the ship the next year against Alabama at home, but we all know how it ended

Absolutely correct. The LSU football team has been on a steady decline since that game.

It is time for a change at the HC position.

If LSU had beat Bama in 2012, and they should have, I think the NCG in 2011 would have lost some of the sting everyone still feels, not all but some. Instead, it is hard to argue this now.

1) who would we get?

2) nobody you want is attainable or available

3) nobody wants to come here if we run miles off

did i do it right?

And speaking of 1/9 debacle and Miles hardheadedness to stick with Jefferson come hell or high water, does anyone think that it is just pure conincidence that out of every schoo in Division 1 Football , we had more underclassment turn pro than any other school. Do you might think they sort of got the feeling they were on the Titanic?

Wrong. We've always played lesser than our talent under Miles. I remember struggling against Tulane, clad in shitty new unis, during the 2007 NC season.

Coach Miles should have been fired after that game. I felt that way at the time, and that is still my opinion.

played down to lesser opponents yet but when it was the big stage the team was pumped and ready to play. the team this year hasn't been excited about playing or even want to play

It is maddening how, had we not imploded in the last 2min against Bama in 2012 we would have been one tough game vs UGA from thrashing Notre Dame and making everyone forget 1/9.

I had not thought of it that way but I believe it with all brain cells--as few as they may be.
