Miles has to take some blame since he is the head coach(this board gives him to much blame). Crowton has to take all of the blame for the offense. He is apparently very hard headed because he was good his first year. He definitely can't develop a quarterback. He ruined one last year and the one this year had his best game last year in the chick fil a bowl. Most games I watched this year(cap one bowl) the players didn't have any heart. I would be happy if terrance tolliver never steps foot on the field again. Why Jefferson threw to him so much in the bowl i will never know.
Basically, I feel the players(not all but most)and crowton are the reason for the type of season we had. 9-4 is not bad. Could be better, and pretty sure we will get better. I don't see lsu in a decline, but who knows what can happen.
alright, i'm ready for all the b.s. about to come but oh well. im feeling good right now and said why not.

Yes it is. The 9 win total is bloated by wash, ull, la tech and tulane. LSU was 5-4 against any decent competition - and I include vandy and msu in the "decent" category.

why are you sure lsu will get better under miles?

It is call throwing away from coverage, something Lee never understood.

9-4 isnt bad. Could our record have been better, yes. It could also have been a little worse. We lost by 2 points to penn state even with a very dysfunctional offense. I do see us getting better under miles. He has done good for lsu and has the players to be even better. He has mad some changes and we will see what happens. He has mad some mistakes, but we all do. Like I said, from watching all of the games, the players have a lot of blame to take.

Don't see how you can say he was throwing away from coverage when dickson was pretty much open all game.
but that kinda of falls on crowton because he apparently can't develop a quarterback.

everybody who plays against LSU in the SEC loves that Les Miles is our coach because he's a "ratard." We're the biggest underachievers in the league.

hopefully les and his mediocrity will only be here for one more year and we can keep frank wilson on our coaching staff.

Walsh's instructions to Montana was "read the field right to left check the first second and third reciever, if covered get rid of it.

not sure what that has to do with jefferson throwing to tolliver when he cant catch with dickson open all game.

Actually we don't know that and the last two seasons have been a bit frustrating but considering that he is going to be here I think rehashing it on an hourly basis serves no purpose because it is almost impossible that Miles would leave this moment and we would get Shanahan/Gruden/DelRio/Patterson/Kelly.

Optimism is always better for the mind than Pessimism when we cannot control the factors and the odds are against us

Loss to Ole Piss may be laid at LM's feet. Same for the loss to PSU. That is inexcusable. If we were in Japan, he would have committed ritual

miles can definitely take some blame for the loss to ole miss. Miles fixed the defense and I am pretty sure after next year we will say that he fixed the offense. I wish crowton would be gone, but it looks like if we can say that it will be with the hire of Gonzales, which I have faith will be the case.

I admire your optimism, nice to see some of it on this board. Just realize that there are quite a few people here that are like manic depressives with bazookas.Miles and Crowton could be gone next week and they'd still find something to complain about.

I completely disagree. They came back against Penn State when they could have folded the tent and got blown out after the 1st half. And they even drove down the field(with the aid of a Trindon return) and were in a position to win it if it weren't for some horrible clock management. But they also came back in the 4th on the road against Georgia, had the goal line stand to win the game against Mississippi State, and went toe-to-toe with the eventual national champions in Tuscaloosa.

That's just off the top of my head. Lots of problems with the team, but I really don't think heart is one of them.

You are correct and 3rd in the SEC, the best football conference around, is not bad either.

Both are improvements from 08 and hopefully that tread will continue in 10.
