I generally like teams in March who can defend. In this matchup that is LSU. Prior to the complete disaster vs. UT, LSU was trending up Kenpom at a rapid pace. It was almost exclusively because of their defense

Remember when people said that Coach Jones couldn't teach his team how defend?

These stats were just tweeted by ESPN:

LSU scores 19.8 transition points per game, 7th-most in the country.

NC State allowed the 2nd-most points per play in transition in the ACC

These stats were just posted by UserName69:

LSU winning percentage against tourney teams: 86%
LSU winning percentage against non-tourney teams: 64%

Note: LSU purposefully lost to Auburn to maintain their 69% total winning percentage on the season.

Last time I checked, NC State made the tourney..so we win 86% of the time. Money on LSU.

I know what pregame song NC state will be playing in the locker room: "Get back, get back, you don't know me like that"

back to basketball i can see LSU coming out pretty good tonight. i feel like quarterman is going to shut lacey down, and hornsby is going to go off on turner

Gameday

Making the dance in 2009 feels like an eternity ago. Regardless of what happens tonight I'll be content and happy about this season considering making the dance is what everyone wanted before the season. It's really exciting to know where our program is heading, and is very rewarding to the loyal fans that hung around during the dark years.

paul "revere" wolfert just galloped into pittsburgh proper mounted high atop a white palomino stallion with a piece of paper declaring mickey's health and availability for tonight's basketball game as he is met by a posse including chris mitchell, roman rubchenko, ryan clark and pete jenkins as adam walton, andy van slyke, shane youman and joleen phillips sit around a campfire while troy landry, jarvis landry and brandon landry sing 'we are family' as TIGRLEE,edwin edwards and the reverend al sharpton decide to just get along for one night on the strength of tip-top advice from brad wing and the poster ed osteen
