I'm still shocked he hasn't found a coaching job. The media and a bunch of LSU fans think LSU was crazy to fire him. He's always been a great guy and you can tell he's a really good dad. Hope the best for the Mad Hatter.
The media ridiculed Les for years and then when we fired him, all of a sudden they supported him. Just look at what you just called him, the Mad Hatter. The media are the ones that came up with that and Les hated it.

I do miss Les in just about every way but as the head football coach. Obviously one of the nicest guys you would ever meet with a good sense of humor, great family etc.

Why couldn't he just stop being so stubborn and quit running the power I? If he would have brought in a good OC like Canada and let him do his thing, then Les would still be coach.

That was a very impressive interview. She's well spoken, very sharp, diplomat , mature and very pretty- Les must be very proud. She comes from very good stock.

This. She really is a pro and will do very well for herself in whatever she chooses to pursue.

Her professionalism was obvious when the moron interviewing her followed up his question about Les' quirky persona, which she deftly and honestly told him was overblown and she really just saw him as a fiery competitor, with a question about what he was thinking when he ate grass as he giggled about it to himself.

You could tell she was a little disappointed that he clearly didn't listen to her previous answer but politely referred back to his competitive nature and something that just happened in the moment.

That moment perfectly captured how frustrating it must have been for Coach Miles and his whole family that no matter how successful he was, the media, not to mention a loud mindless portion of our fanbase, just seemed unwilling or unable to portray him as anything other than a quirky punch line once Saban came back to the SEC and they wanted to portray them as opposites.

Here's to Coach Miles and his family, great representatives of LSU and Louisiana and the driving force behind the most successful decade in LSU football history.

When he was maximizing the capabilities of our team, his inability to speak coherently was viewed as funny and quirky.

When he drastically underachieved the last 4 years, it made him look like a buffoon.

I laugh every time I hear this. I literally cannot remember one time when LSU under Miles lined up and ran a play out of the "Power I"

Actually... tRant gave him this name. The media just picked it up and ran with it.

Interested, but not 10 minutes worth. Highlights?

Really, that's your loss... I enjoyed every minute of that video.

OP, THANK YOU for sharing.

Has she graduated college already? I thought she was a swimmer in high school...don't remember, but heard she was really solid.

I think she was an alternate qualifier for the Olympics, like she was next up if one of the Olympians went down...

Or something like that...

Because complete inability to make ANY adjustments during the game, not understanding how much time is on the clock, down/distance, timeouts, lack of pre-snap discipline, and so many other reasons had absolutely nothing to do with him being fired

The power I destroyed most teams we played. It wasn't the reason he was kicked outta here.

There was a time I would have liked to have seen Les come back as AD. However, after hiring that damned joke of an OC and being so stubborn as to refuse to fire him or make other adjustments, I don't think that would be a good idea. He's a good guy, and yes ... bleeds purple and gold. But I am glad he's no longer our HC.

He doesn't want a coaching job. Then his buyout from us would go down.

Fact: The media and a bunch of LSU fans are idiots.

Absolutely correct. Dinardo ran a power I. Les didn't.

I always felt he was playing a character to an extent. I never took his media talk seriously.

We've seen video of him talking to his team and he's as straightforward as anyone.
