After last night, I'm not paying to go to a game the rest of this year. That was just sad. Feel sorry for the players. Hate Les Miles.

Me either.

I'm busy coaching my daughter's softball team all fall, so I will only make the bama and MAYBE ole miss games the way it looks. I expect the worst though.

Just so everyone understands---if we go 6-6, we are NOT eligible for a bowl game. Have to beat 6 FBS teams. Sam Houston is FCS.

The QB system???? Are you serious???? What about the Defense that was Shredded... You think Derrick Henry is easier to tackle than Robinson? You think Bo Wallace isn't as good a QB as Dak? You think the Florida O Line can't push as well as Moo State? You think the Kentucky offensive scheme isn't as creative at Moo State? You think the Hog O Line that is 330 lbs average isn't going to blow our guys back 3 yards? You think the Auburn team isn't licking their chops on this one? We win maybe 2 Conference games this year. We can excuse it as young. I think it's predictable. And more predictable on Defense than on Offense.

I 100% agree. Offense is just the easier thing to fix right now IMO. Defense takes players and we just don't have the horses. Our linebackers are smaller than many team's safeties. Our Dline is smaller than most of the conferences' linebackers. It just is what it is at this point.

Chavis' scheme is about as 1996 as you can get. coaches have been saying it anonymously for years in the Athlon magazine, but nobody here would listen. The first year Chavis doesn't have ELITE talent, he falls apart. Just look at his UT years. He went down with teh ship there too with a coach who got lazy and refused to change. Sounds VERY fricking familiar. I grew up around UT fans, so I have seen this shite before.

LSU - 49 New Mexico State - 7
LSU - 17 Auburn - 38
LSU - 21 Florida - 28
LSU - 31 Kentucky - 27
LSU - 24 Ole Miss - 35
LSU - 17 Alabama - 28
LSU - 23 Arkansas - 28
LSU - 21 A&M - 45

LSU is just not very good this year. Trust me, Michigan is a dumpster fire and I feel for you all, but LSU is just not a good team. The lines are weak. Aside from #4, the linebackers are slow and weak. LSU has a young, inexperienced quarterback. I do like the upside of the Harris kid. The wide receivers look pretty good and the secondary looks solid as a whole. The SEC West is stacked with A&M, Alabama, Auburn. That could legitimately be the best 3 teams in the country. Mississippi State and Mississippi are not the teams of old. They are legitimate top 15 teams. Arkansas is strong and physical and could pose serious problems to LSU just due to their scheme and strengths.

It says more about the SEC West than anything.

Conventional wisdom was that this would be something of a rebuilding year in preparation for a SEC title run in 2015, but honestly I don't see it. We will have some young and talented skill players, and great DBs, but we are going to have to build new lines on both sides of the line of scrimmage. From what I see coming back next year, I don't believe we have the players to do it. Bain, Herron, and Gilmore must be colossal fails if they can't break into this DT rotation, and I fear Pocic will be the only returning OL who has any meaningful experience. I hope I'm proven wrong, but I'm not optimistic for 2015 either.

I'm with ya. Even if it is in preparation for a championship run, why do we have to endure seasons of shite before it? Saban and bama just reload. They don't rebuild.

We won't win another fame for the rest of the programs history no matter who is coaching or playing. Stop watching and posting

Miles will be gone, involuntarily, in two years, and we need to hire an up-and-comer with a proven record of success as an HC. I would not want to take a chance on someone with no HC experience, regardless of how much success someone has had as an OC or DC.

If Mark Stoops does well at Kentucky, he would be one possible candidate.
