2 years and hopefully Aleva with him.

Our recruiting goes downhill and he's gone during year 3 when the lack of talent kicks in. People will discover that while a position coach can be a great "recruiter"', the head coach has to be great coach that commands respect and impresses these high school kids. The loss of talent will make the rebuild after O a lot worse than people expect.

No way he lasts 3 seasons. Fired in the middle of season 3.

(8-4) - (10-2)
I doubt he'll ever beat Alabama. Probably will struggle on the road in Gainesville, Auburn, and Knoxville.
He'll go 0-2 against a Texas which will really sting.

9 or 10 wins next year
8-4
7-5
7-5
But impossible to fire since the political cronies are back in the saddle. They'll keep making excuses and sacrifice the program to keep their access and control. As long as he's not worse than 6-6, the pressure to fire him won't be enough.

Look, I think the guy *could* be successful here.
But there were certainly less risky hires out there, which I think is the core of most people's concern/issue is.
The other main issue is that if he has a successful coordinator that leads us to a title, that guy will be gone. O will be reliant upon great coordinators, and every time one leaves for a head job, there is a risk with the next one.
So there is a lot of risk - and not risks I would beat on always coming out good.
I think he'll be here for about 6-8 years. Probably one great year in there, but a bad OC or OC/DC combo after Aranda leaves and he starts crashing out.

If he hires Kiffin it is more than likely that he will be hiring an OC again after next season. Aranda probably doesn't last more than 2 years and with another season like this one could be gone after next one (to a HC job).
If he cannot continue to hire this caliber of coordinator he is cooked. And I do not see a coordinator leaving a good situation to come work for O unless the money is overwhelming. Also, what other successful team can you think of where the head coach just turns both coordinators loose and does not have some level of control, at least on one side of the ball?

3 years...18-20 overall record. 2 low end bowl appearances. Losing season in his third year and he and Aleva will be swept out.

You're crazy. ANY Coach will drop everything and sell his firstborn to come coach at LSU. It is easily a Top 5 job and probably #1.
Oh wait .... Never mind.

Completely depends on recruiting. Once the next 2 classes are in the books, I can better answer this question.

he deff adds passion and energy into the program. Not one negative miserable poster on this website can deny that
People have said that about his recruiting ability as well and we all see how that's been going lately. So now it's just down to he gets the players wanting to play football.
