If we drop this series, PM should change his focus to being on the road for Regionals. Every move from here on out should be to give us the best opportunity to win a regional on road. Wins and losses won't matter, as there is no difference between a #2 or #3 seed.

No more 'We can still win the SEC' crap'.

What exactly does one do to "prepare a team to play a regional on the road?"
Stay in a hotel? Pipe in crowd noise at practice?

How about we work on HITTING THE BALL??? This should help home OR away.

The purpose of the Rant is to rant and blame and criticize and analyze the obvious and not so obvious.

I have begun to make peace that the team we have this year under Mainieri is what it is. I don't expect any postseason success this year.

Mainieri won a National Championship 8 years ago. That bought him enough rope to hang himself and this program. What he does for our university until 2024 is up to him. I don't care. I vote by not going to the games. I wish the kids well but I am done with this season and this coach. Thank you Joe Alleva for signing this coach to an absurd contract.

I have a lot of doubt about PM as a head coach now, but how does any coach prepare for being on the road versus at home in baseball. I'd love to hear the OPs thoughts.

I really don't think it matters much at this point.

With the exception of Deichmann this is a relatively weak hitting team of singles hitters. The pitchers can't count on run support.

Unless, this team finds a way to produce runs where we play will not matter much.
