Plus...it would actually do more harm to keep him at this point....I honestly believe that....just from the fan base issues and public perception.

I feel that way about Alleva. Is that good enough reason to fire him?

There are two problems. First the buy out will be twice the largest buyout in NCAA history. The perception doesn't look good on LSU. And that's before any buy out of an existing coaches contract.
Second the buyout drops by $4 million if they wait till Jan. 16. That will not work because they know they would need a coach sooner than Jan.
I'm am not saying they will not buy out Les Miles (he doesn't like Les as a coach at all). I'm saying they aren't all gun ho about doing it now.

If all the above is true, I could see a shite storm brewing over the extra 4 mil, but their are way too many vacancies in D1 coaching to drag your feet here. We're backed into a corner and Les is the only one that comes out smelling like a rose here. Thanks Joe Derp.

They are working on a deal with their number one choice. If they can't finalize the deal with their guy by Sunday, Les will be back. It's pretty simple. We're not going to go into a coaching search situation.

Here is what I know, from 2 separate people and stories are both the same. One is a
co-worker played ball at LSU and is still actively involved with the program and boosters.
Don't shoot the messenger.........

1. Miles wants to coach next year and wants to retire after next season, waving his buyout.
2. Jimbo Fisher is who the big money boosters want.
3. Jimbo wants out of FSU
4. They want to have an agreement with Fisher before cutting ties with Miles. If Miles is fired, an agreement is in place with Fisher.
If no agreement can be reached with Jimbo, #1 above is back in play.

The only thing that speaks volumes to me is that LSU hasn't come out and said Miles is staying. Miles has been deflecting questions about it. Smoke meet fire, etc.

You can add me to your list. I have a source! My source even gave me the name of the new coach and the DC who is going to join him.

I have sources. They claim to not know shite. Not sure if that means there's nothing yet to know, or if they aren't as connected as I thought.

We better not let les miles come back for one more year. That will set back our program a decade. Bookmark my words.

Miles has 'no answers'. Jimbo not my idea of 'home run' hire.

It's all good.

This would be disastrous for LSU. It would tie our hands in recruiting and could set us back 3 years. All the openings in College Football now will be filled with the best candidates. This can't be a viable option for LSU. Maybe for Miles and P.R., etc. but in the long run, a bad thing for LSU.

I have a very reliable source, the dude who works in the office on my floor, down the hall. He told me yesterday while I was getting some coffee in the kitchen that Miles is gone.

I've always been a Miles supporter and I am a program supporter. I really like Miles and what he has done for this program. I will also support the next head coach.
