Just makes games like this even more frustrating - Saban is smart/analytical actually feels like he is an intelligent person that is aware and trying to do anything possible to put his players in position to help his team win. Loved/Hated the fact the Saban just knows he will always have an inherent advantage vs Les -- complimenting our "style of play" after beating us 4 years in a row

Miles just comes across as not having a clue in a win or a loss. In a win its hilarious and fun/funny...a lot of wowwwws, and how about that game, and tiger stadium is magic, blah blah blah.

In a loss just comes across as having no clue and almost insulting that he thinks that he can convince anyone with eyes that his teams are not directly limited by the incompetence of our coaches ability to do anything but recruit, possibly make our players like him/feel good, and run the ball up the middle 40-50 times a game. Unfortunately it seems like most of our fans don't see this and think defending him is the same as defending ourselves and our school.

Can anyone honestly argue that Les Miles could ever have even close to as articulate, pragmatic press conference after a game as this most recent? I wish Les would just depend on a little more intelligence and a little less magic.

LINK

*That unsportsman like was total BS - Alabama guy was actually pulling and lifting up our guy's leg. Should have been offsetting and an inexcusable call to make given the circumstances of the game.

Les is his own man and he is our coach, so I could care less about the other coach you mentioned.

Saban said the same shite "we put our player to help us win. ya da ya da" all the time so it makes him more intelligent. Check all his press conferences. Stop being that a-hole lover.

A Les Miles coached team ran the ball "up the middle 40-50 times" for about a buck-eighty on a defense that was giving up less than 100ypg this year. There are a lot of things to complain about (starting with our inability to craft a passing game) but the (painful) truth some of you nuts need to consider is that Miles and staff did a damn good job coaching this past weekend.

True - to certain extent. Of course he has a consistent personality and I was actually really annoyed with the first couple of minutes and wanting to stay annoyed -- but then he started offering specifics and thoughts and analysis...

We ran the ball up the middle 50+ times. We rarely threw in situations that we not predictably a pass. We played Welter for 1.5 years :bang head:

I'm sure you didn't actually listen/watch/read my post but if it makes you feel better...

Not for Saban...and understand it's a lighting rod example. Just wish LSU fans would open their eyes and understand we have lost 4 in a row for reason - Not trying to piss anyone off but we we have lots of room for improvement and it starts and end with the HC.

This is all.

This is ridiculous.
Les' strong suit is not public speaking, but it's also not his job.
There are plenty of people who are excellent at what they do and extremely intelligent people who do not do well at expressing their thoughts in an unscripted environment.
Miles included!
He is great at building relationships and would probably have rather been helping those young men regroup and move on than proving his intelligence to Joe Schmo from News 19

Yeah, I find it much more enjoyable to listen to Saban talk football. With Miles, it's usually just a lot of bland rambling.

He is a slow thinker who is unable to articulate x's and o's like Saban and Urban and many others.

Or, he is simply wanting people to think he is dumb? Or he is ALWAYS playing poker?
