I was just thinking and I realized that if LSU beats Bama (I think we have a good chance at that), we will easily jump 1-2 spots. That would put Florida at #1, KSU #2 Oregon #3 LSU #4 Bama #5 (possible Bama 4, LSU 5). Oregon will not beat USC twice and may lose to Oregon State. LSU and Bama would both move up a spot. If LSU beats Flordia in the SEC championship we could have SEC team in the 1,2,3 spots in the BCS. That would be the biggest meltdown on ESPN. So here's to hoping for all of this to play out perfectly.

ETA: This could be interesting. KSU getting out played by Texas Tech. ND to lose tonight....Florida and Georgia battling it out. But if Florida hangs on....1. Bama 2. Florida 3. Oregon 4. LSU. (with ND loss).

GEAUX SEC.

Why would bama stay ahead of us if we beat them? I could see if we were unranked and they were #1 but if we beat them we jump k-state and bama AT least. Media will probably suck notes dame and Oregon cock like always. But one of them will lose before seasons end.

Not if they are undefeated with wins over Oklahoma and USC

I'll believe that when I see it. They have been trying to convince the world that Notre Dame is "back" and they aren't going to let a one-loss SEC team take that from them.

won't matter after this weekend when they lose to OU but you're flat our wrong here....an undefeated ND goes to the national championship with 1-loss...their schedule is legit. again, not going to happen but just throwing that out there

Because the computers polls may make the difference. We are 7th in the computers and Bama is 4th. If we beat them. we will be close to the same in the computers and in the human polls how much are you going to drop Bama? FL and KSU will be 1,2. Oregon probably 3. But ND would not move. LSU would jump but the question is how far would Bama fall?

The only flaw in SEC 1,2,3 will be KSU. But I would love to see this happen.

a 1 lose ND does not go to the national championship over a one loss SEC team... thats the beauty of having a conference championship.. we would be 12-1 they would be 11-1... plus their schedule is turning out to not be nearly as strong as it appeared to be

ESPN has already talked about this. Without a conference championship they think SEC 1 loss would jump ND.

If Notre dame ran the table, there is no SEC team that could jump them. Yall clearly underestimate the power that is Notre Dame when they are on top

Okay your logic is flawed because if we beat bama they would not stay ahead of us. Bookmark it. If they stayed ahead of us that would mean if we both won out and everyone else lost we would be 1-2 and that will never happen again.

No one is gonna jump an undefeated ND team. It's been too long since they been in the NC picture. I also think that USC needs to lose again then beat ND. The media would love a 1 loss USC team.

USC is 16th in computers...They will not win enough high quality opponents to help them in the computers to maintain a top 2 ranking.

Again..good try people. The only flaw in my logic is KSU.

You could also make a case for a 1 loss ND team if the loss was to a good team and close. For some weird arse reason, the country loves ND when they are relevant. It would be closer than people think. People down here underestimate the amount of hate the country has for the SEC.

Notre Dame will lose a couple games, but will still get a BCS bowl bid a la 2006.
