Don't see Teuhema as an OT at all. He's a pure OG IMO. A mauler and road grader out there. Very powerful. He's a perfect fit as an OG.

It's a lot harder to switch from OG to OT than people realize. Diff skillset and mindset. At OG, you go against interior DL for the most part and typically have help coming from somewhere, typically the Center. At OT, you are going against the pass rushers, a position that has turned into an "athlete" spot. And you are on an island with a lot of open space to your outside. Gotta have great feet to be a good OT.

OT is much more of a finesse position while OG is much more of a power / mauler type of position. And that's why I don't see Teuhema moving to OT. He's a beast at OG. Vadal was a good RT his freshman year, but he also had the right build for it as a freshman weighing 305lbs and had some quick feet. He moved inside, beefed up, and was an excellent OG his Soph and JR year here. Truly a dominant OG. Tried to make the switch back to OT last year and was solid, but struggled at times. And that's because he had trouble dropping all that weight. I mean he was pushing 340lbs as an OT. Didn't have them quick feet like he did as a freshman and struggled in space. And considering Teuhema was 327lbs as a true freshman and will only get stronger, I don't see him making the switch.

Playing OT is incredibly hard and requires the rigt build. Hawkins has the build you want. 6'6, a lean 309lbs with long arms, good base, and good feet. Pocic does as well, but who knows if he moves to OT or not? Teuhema would have to undergo a massive body transformation and even if he does that, I still don't know if moving him to OT would be the rigt move for him and for the team.

We have great depth at both the OG and OT spots. Let your OGs be OGs and let your OTs be OTs.

Boutte couldn't cut the mustard as a starter last year due to his lack of burst/explosiveness. Couldn't get out of his stance and off the line quick enough.

I can tell you two games where he got owned at center. Pocic did a solid job most of the year, but he should be at tackle next year. Our strength is interior lineman. We have tons of guard/center types.
