Can anyone else see us using etling for most plays but bringing in harris for a set number of plays (hopefully to his strength)? Similar to how we used jefferson at times when lee was the starter.

Fwiw, im never in favor of a 2 qb system, but at least it would maybe allow harris to run some zone reads maybe

Why? Danny looked pretty quick in his own right

I think both might play, regardless of skill-set.

I also think Harris is more effective running out of the spread than the zone read.. but the coaches are going to coach.

fine with me IF we don't run the same damn play everytime he comes in. that's what we did with Perriloux and that play began to be crushed. miles would not let him run any other kind of play.

this running the same play for a substitute is stupid and it told the D what was coming up.

For designed runs, sure. Why didn't we do that when Harris was starting though?

Only if he's improved or we are up really big in the 4th. It sure felt like a black cloud was lifted off of the team once the QB change was made. I'd be careful not to let those storm clouds build up again so to speak.

This is not a flame. I repeat, this is not a flame.

What would you say his strengths are. I have forgotten since last season

If I was a betting man, I'd put a ton of money on this being exactly what would happen.

We did some last year...

Look Danny actually looks for receivers, BH is stuck in a HS mentality. He never progresses to the next read for whatever reason. His pocket presence is horrendous at best, plus for being so quick he gets sacked a lot.

I'm just tired of us breathing a sigh of fricking relief when we pass for 120 yards

That's pathetic.

I hope we are up 2+ scores in the 3rd and Harris gets some good reps in. Let's see what he looks like after watching and let's keep his moral up.

He will be needed at some point to help. He HAS to make the most of it. Next year the team will be all his again IF he handles his attitude correctly.

I think there's an possibility. Giving Harris some package of plays he's comfortable with

What are you saying Harris' strength is? If it's running, then why didn't we use him before in that capacity? Etling looked to have decent wheels and vision when he had to run. Fournette is a better option using wildcat than Harrus if that's all you're putting him in there to do.

When people have nothing else to post. They post nonsense. It literally took two games for people to jump to the idea that running packages for Harris is a good idea

Its possible, but I don't see it being because of that.

I think its much more likely Etling struggles at times and he and Harris alternate for the rest of the season to see who has the "hot" hand. That means a lot of games where we are slow to get going on offense as we figure out which QB has it that day.

I felt so bad for BH on Saturday.

The pouting, leaving the field and the tweets have soured me on his potential to make it back.

I know he is young, and I cut him slack for that.

I'm just saying that putting him on the field until he has a humility adjustment would be dangerous for the team.

Exactly, and lets further telegraph our plays by putting in Harris to 've our "running" qb.
