You're right, Quinn did play the #2 receiver in the 2WR sets.

I guess i was just thinking of Diarse as the second guy because of his performance

Your user name needs to be changed. Maybe the admins will allow this one.

Getting back Porter, Bain, Gilmore, Herron, Dupre, Feist, and Robinson

If I hear one more B10 jackleg say crap about W's 2 DL going down I'm gonna puke.

Reminds me of the North Carolina game a few years ago.. when NC got all the talk about the suspended players missing the game and I posted that LSU had actually MORE guys miss than NC.

OFW.

Yep we played 4 WRs according to the participation report:

1 Dural
2 Quinn
3 Diarse
4 Leslie

Peterson didn't play. So with him and Dupre that's a pretty solid corps of six. The question is how they fit in.

Dural is a really good true WR. He's big and fast and can really stretch the D.

I like Quinn at SE. Even though he didn't have a lot of catches or yards his presence made an impact on the game. He is going to be really good, because he does all of the little things right.

Diarse is almost a TE-hybrid type player. Obviously someone you want on the field when you really need a catch. He and Quinn are very different, so they could be swapped (2-3) depending on what we need out of the play.

I think Dupre comes in a displaces Leslie to become the 4th receiver. Leslie and Peterson will be the 5th receiver depending on what we need.

Yep, especially when depth in the front seven was their weakness going in.

It's like saying "We only lost because of our weakness."

Well, no shite guys.

Dupre will not start over Quinn. Quinn has that job locked up. He knows the playbook and is one of the best route runners on the team.

I am not sure how anyone can make this assertion. Both are talented and one didn't dress for the game. You folks are unbelievable with your insight into LSU athletics.

I agree with you. But you have to consider that Dupre was injured through a good portion of fall camp, so when he comes back, it will probably be in a limited capacity at first.

Meanwhile, Miles has more or less said that Quinn is the #2 receiver, at least for now.

What will it be at the end of the year? That's the real question.

Exactly!!!! How can anyone assume the #1 rated HS wide receiver has lost out on a starting position when he hasn't even had a chance to play a down in a game yet?

It's kind of sick that I resent the fact that we can't get away with all the stuff that Bama and Auburn get away with; we seem to suck at cheating. The worst was losing Akiem Hicks, dirt poor and really wanted to play for LSU. I felt like the Alabama schools compliance offices and coaches were laughing at us after we lost him. Like, " wow, what amateurs".

Dupre will back up Dural this year, but I definitely believe he is first in line for fourth WR in 4WR sets.

Quinn is a speed demon and they need to get him in on the slant and screen game

You have a very different interpretation of 'major playing time' than most people.

-Porter is supposed to be the starter
-Bain was initially supposed to back up LaCouture, but Godchaux is now
-Herron was initially supposed to back up Thomas, then start, now IDK
-Robinson is supposed to be the starter
-Dupre will definitely get a good amount of playing time

He's pretty much right

Well, you have a point. I don't KNOW this to be true. But I am fairly confident. I saw Quinn play, and I feel sure he is destined to be a first or high second round draft choice.

In fact, several young guys I saw play so well that I'm fairly sure we'll see on Sundays are:

Quinn, WR
Bower, DE
Godchaux, DT
Adams, S
Fournette, RB

I didn't notice Deondre Clark, but I understand that he played some. That's amazing that he came in and got PT on the Dline as a true freshman.
