But he didn't you retard he gave up a home run! It was the absolute wrong decision and the proof is the game now being tied.

It's not hindsight, it's typical PM....

Dude makes some bonehead decisions at crucial times....

I just don't understand how every Tiger fan can see (before the HR in the top of the ninth) that Lange should have been pulled, but PM does not. PM needs to relieve himself of the decision making of leaving in pitchers as bad as Miles needed to not be the time management guy at the last few minutes of football games.

The problem is not having a real closer. It's an easy call if we had one, but we don't. Had Bugg come in and blew the lead, many here would be complaining about making the change after Lange went 9 last week.

Even when we win, there is no winning with this fanbase.

No, the intelligent fan would be upset that Bug blew the lead, but would know it was time for Lange to get pulled.

You mean like winning the SEC, our regional, getting a #2 national seed, and being 1 game from another CWS trip??? Is that the button pushing you talkin' bout.

Sticking with one of the best young pitchers in college baseball is not exactly like some terrible coaching move no matter the results and if that's all you got to bitch bout after that game, you belong in the drama queen ranks who seem to live to bitch bout the results of one of the best programs in the nation rather than enjoy our fantastic results.

It was time to take him out. If you have that little faith in the pen then we are in serious trouble.

All in spite of leaving in pitchers too long. Just think how good he could have the Tiger teams if he would know when a pitcher doesn't have anything left.

You can spin it any way you want to, but PM almost cost LSU a victory last night. And yes, I know we still won and sound like I can't even enjoy a win, but if our season ends because of a bone head call (or non call) like that, you will understand where I'm coming from.

He should have pulled him in the middle of eighth.

Except when this board determines he pulled them too soon. All with the gift of hindsight.

Yes, PM does this a lot too.

it's not hindsight when you predict it before it happens and you are right way more than PM is right. Anyone who doesn't think PM is weak in this coaching skill just doesn't know baseball.

That being said, GEAUX TIGERS. Let's win today and let PM take us back to Omaha another year.

Thought I read on here how great a decision PM finally made last week leaving Lange in the UNC-Wilmington game? How compared to Houston last year he finally made the right call? Oh and He left Poche out there till 2 outs and made that right call sending him out again last week too.

I suggest we have a sticky. Pitching change comment before its after the fact. And rule being if you want to be able to complain after the fact, you have to post your decision before the fact

Personally I thought Lange was done, but I can't second guess a coach who makes the decisions in real time and generally wins. Sure looks like Robichaux should have changed pitchers for the B9. But after the first out he was looking ok.

Sure glad we have those MLB managers to compare to, cause they always get it right and it is a good benchmark for us to compare PM to.

Maybe he was thinking come in and get his standing O after getting the first batter out?

God forbid we let the guy who has never lost get his time in the Super Regional at home.

I swear some of you on here aren't all there in the head or you have no clue about baseball. Congrats on your 1 inning per game played in little league.

That's exactly what it sounds like. Coaches make countless moves doing a college baseball game from the time they decide the starting LU to the last play of the game. That's what they get paid to do and that's what this staff of coaches have done damn well to this point in the season. Not every move works, but damn...we are 52-10, won the SEC, and are one win from the CWS!

I am not going to piss in my pants and conjure up could of, might of nightmares situations that didn't take place, but knock yourself out if that's your take away from the LSU win.

Normally this would be one of those genius or jackass situation depinding on the outcome. However, Lange looked gassed at the end of the 8th. That F'd up play at second just took the wind out of his sails. But end the end we won so, Geaux Tigers, frick ULL

Maineri is an elite, creme-of-the-crop skipper who could have his choice of jobs at literally any school in the country. We're lucky to have him. Is he perfect? No, but who is?
