The thing I think LSU has lacked during PM's tenure is confidence that comes from being mentally prepared. Skip Bertman may have been better than any other college coach with that. I've heard him talk about the "pressure barrier" which I think refers to the ability for a player to come through when the pressure is on. That leads to getting hits with RISP.
It leads to coming back from big deficits.
LSU has had great players but I think PM lacks in preparing them in the mental game.

You not supposed to be negative in any way. Just repeat "next year" over and over and it fixes everything. LOL

So sad.
Being here as long as you have and you can't come up with anything more original than that.

More often than not, PM appears to be talking to himself. No positive output. Did you notice after another inning of leaving men on base, he retreated to his seat in the dugout motionless.

We were either 4th or 5th in the SEC in BA w/ RISP going into the weekend. Cub posted the stats in a thread.

it seems to me that Cain is at fault for a lot, but I haven't seen his name mentioned too often. Am I off on this? and yes I know. post #1

You're off. Cain is doing what CPM wants, challenging the defense. Sometimes it works, sometimes not.

Nah, he looked frustrated by a long stream of events over a 3 day series that could have ended differently with some better mental acuity and execution by the team. At that point grinding on guys served no purpose.
