Whoever it is now (Jay Johnson) is failing miserably. Changing our approach with 2 strikes is not being taught. I’d take just making contact— putting the ball in play. We are abysmal at clutch times.

Jay is obviously a good hitting coach. However, the lack of improvement from our most “talented” players is concerning.

It’s more about timely hitting than the number of hits. Tenn had 2 homers among those hits and we had none.

Tell me you don’t know college baseball without telling me it... Jay is WELLL I mean WELLLL known for one of the best hitting coaches in America. Sometimes shite happens and it snowballs. We won last year with a lot of upper class man. I’m more disappointed I’m Travinski more than anyone. Tommy is stroking it. Pearson hit or miss. I’d would say Jones is hitting better. Brady was killing it then fell off. He’s still just turned 19. We have a lot of young hitters that need to step up. But future is bright talent is there

Travinski benefitted from the protection he had in the lineup more than anyone last season.

And how do you score? Timely hitting/good at bats is how.
