I am unable to get the game on the SEC Network+. The game is not broadcasted on radio in Shreveport. I saw some comments re: Josh Gray, but what are your thoughts on the other players, how well they play together, who looks to be the scorers, etc.?

I thought we looked pretty good, granted this is against Morehouse. I didn't see the first half either. But a few thoughts:

- Martin looks really in shape, and balled out tonight. Good be a good sign he's in for a big year.

- Mickey still blocking errthing

- Hornsby suprised me. Had a good looking jump shot and worked on defense.

- Quarterman is still well...Quarterman

- Robinson is a large human being

That's all I got

Really? Kid shot 40% from three at UNC Asheville. He can shoot.

Martin and Mick look as good as advertised. Mick could've had a triple double tonight and Martin looked like a force on offense. Looks like he finally learned to use his size and quickness appropriately.

Grey looked like the scorer and distributor we hoped he'd be. Obviously it's against shite competition, but he looked good. Had 3 steals as well.

Patterson and Bridge looked good off the bench. Very good. Quarterman is still frustrating. Malone and Odo only know how to foul. Elbert looked like a freshman when he got the ball, but rejected a number of shots and rebounded well. Physically he looks great.

Yea, I just meant suprised by his general game out there

The defense surprised me more than anything, and we was working off the ball and made a nice pass or two. Surprising, I didn't expect much form him.

He hit a three in the first half and looked pretty comfortable in general. I wasn't paying as close attention in the 2nd half.

He made a few bad plays at PG. A few ugly turnovers.

I saw that he made his first shot, a 3. That's encouraging.

I think we're trying to transition him to more of an off-guard type this year if I'm not mistaken. I may have just made that up, though.

We are bigger and stronger than last year. Offense will be fine, defense still needs work. Gave up 30 offensive rebounds and got out rebound by 15 against a bad swac team.
Mickey and Martin should be all-sec. Martin could be sec MVP if he was not so lazy on defense.
Gray is a real pg that looks like he can score if needed. Nice first step and sees the court really well.
Hornsby plays hard and will have some big 3 point nights and probably some really bad nights as well. Has a funny hitch in his shot.
Robinson is a huge man, but slow and sort of soft.
Patterson looked very good for a true freshman. He will play plenty of minutes.
Quarterman looks a little better. Plays hard and is quick and athletic.
Malone and Odo look the same as last year.
Bridge water is a undersized 4. Could contribute in a few years.

Ain't nothing undersized about Bridgewater. He's 6'5" 280. He needs to lose 30-40 pounds. I was disappointed

I don't remember the exact injury but it's apparently minor and he was held out as a precaution.

Much better on both ends of the court and the guard position. Gray huge improvement over Hickey Hornsby solid 2 with decent on ball defense to go with capable inside and out offense game. Martin much improved face up game. Mickey doing what Mickey does. Elbert no where near he needs to be to help this team. I see us playing lots of three guard with Quarterman getting big minutes. Martin and Mickey have obviously been told to try and create off dribble to help draft status. Neither are very good at it. We will be much better with uptempo smaller teams than bigger post up teams. Should be great season to go dancing...

All the comments sound somewhat encouraging, obviously we will find out more when they play better teams.

If this team can Gel and get some of those defensive rebounds instead of giving up so many Offensive re's they will be SCARY GOOD! We have the size, depth, speed and Athletes to beat anyone on our schedule. Its all about putting it together and finding a true identity.

Martin is a beast

We got out-rebounded 66-46. That was worthy.

-Robinson looks like he isn't quite ready.
-As much as I enjoyed Stringer and Hickey, I think Gray and Hornsby will certainly be an upgrade on both ends of the floor at guard.
-Martin is about ready to have a beast-mode season, I think.
