I hope you continue to do so, but I also think your nonsense about how to be a true fan by being exactly like you is... Well, nonsense.

Enjoy your sunburn in the oppressive afternoon September sun of Tiger Stadium. I think I'll enjoy another whiskey drink and see you in an hour and a half when I get into the stadium just in time to see pregame.

Guess that just makes me a mediocre fan...

I don't go to the games to please the players and coaches. I go for myself.

I was talking to Bengal about leaving early....pay attention.

How do you think the coaches and players feel when they come out after halftime and half of the fking stadium is gone? I'm sure you don't care but I can't imagine that does much for morale.

Ok Im going to try and explain this slower so you can understand.

Someone going to a game for any amount of time is better than no one using that ticket at all.

Again, you are far too invested in this. These kids don't play because you're there. They play because they are paid to and it's what they love to do. They play for a free education and a shot at the pros. They play for the guy next to them. They don't stop playing because the student section is empty. I highly doubt they need a morale boost if the student section decided to up and leave because that almost certainly means they are crushing their opponent.

In sum, it bothers you. We get it. Time to move on.

If you are talking about him then dont reply to me. I said earlier when I was a student i did exactly what that other dipshit was spouting off about. I never left early and was there as soon as the gates opened.

And no, all the players care about are their peers. Not some overweight middle aged man than they never see. Do they players go out to the wine bar and drink a pinot noir or do they sprint into the showers so they can get to tigerland quicker?

doesn't make you a mediocre fan. I'm not trying to put myself on a different level than anyone else I just don't comprehend how some people can leave early. I know it's not my business or whatever but that's just me.

You're there for pregame and you're there for the game. you're a fan. whatever degree of fandom you assume is up to you. enjoy that whiskey drink and I'll see you in the stadium for kickoff either way!

Oh, I forgot, what i do for the SHSU game is what Im gonna do for bama. Yeah, because I likely do the same thing regardless of circumstances. Is that what you do, like some trained chimp?

Some of you have a weird fricking idea of what it means to do things right. We live in a world where we can pick and choose what we want to do depending on the circumstances...

Sometimes i stay till the lights turn off, if its a big play an i am compelled to stand i will. I sure as shite aint gonna stand on 2nd and 8 midway through the 2nd quarter. I dont go to games to prove myself. If the weather is miserable and the game sucks i will leave. I PROMISE you the lore of Death Valley was not forged in the 4th Quarter up 35 against a non conference opponent. I also promise that Death Valley will always be packed and loud in huge games, when the nation is watching.

I have been to over 70 games in my life and i havent done the exact same thing 70 times. Ive been variations of vulgar and polite, sober and shithoused, and captivated and disinterested in all 70 of them. No one has ever given me a merit badge or taken it away.
