..especially the offensive & defensive lines.

-Moffit mentioning Deculus & Charles by name
-Shelvin shedding 60lbs
-Andre Anthony up to 260

I see all these things as huge positives and should help us tremendously in the trenches.

The lines look to be in ridiculous shape according to pictures I’ve seen.

I have also seen videos posted of Kardell Thomas doing workouts. He is putting in the work to try to compete and earn a starting spot. Im excited for the upcoming season!

One of the things I remember about the 2011 off-season was the focus on conditioning. It was stated at the time that the opening game against Oregon was an incentive to be in good shape to handle defending their high-octane offense. When the game rolled around, what we saw were things like Anthony Johnson(?) running down Oregon's running back in the backfield. The speed on LSU's DL was incredible that year, and I think a lot of it had to do with the concentration on offseason conditioning.

I'm hoping we're seeing something similar this summer.

Coach Ed Orgeron

"No days off."

Video - impromptu coaching at a voluntary mandatory workout - I hope these plays don't get out to the general public / other coaches

Bout time. Looks like Moffit got the message. All of the sudden it looks like the trenchmen are losing some weight and hopefully getting in the kind of shape that this offense demands. This hasn't been the case for years.

I believe Fehoko and Lawrence both need to be 280-290 pounds. We have 2 big guys at the nose, and being a little lighter would help these guys at the DE position. Coach O has always believed his D lineman should be leaner and quicker. Hopefully the game plan is to get the guys back to being lean and mean.

That's right, ran him down from the end position. It was still damned impressive to see a DL run that kid down. He was running away from Mingo's side if I remember correctly - still couldn't get away.

My point remains, I have never seen an LSU team in better condition than that 2011 team. I believe it even helped as late as the Alabama game. Bama was spent by OT. Although it gave Miles a false sense of confidence for the re-match.

I think that's more for a 4-3 scheme. The DEs now are more like DTs with a true NT in the middle. They will (hopefully) command double teams, creating gaps for the LBs to get to the backfield/stuff the run. Your OLBs are the lean, mean edge rushers.

That's how I see it anyway.

It is footwork that our tackles are missing. Lifting is a given. Have you seen the workouts divinity and Phillips post on Instagram. Or the making lineman workouts on Instagram. I hope our lineman are doing this stuff.

They said this same shite last off-season.

I'm not doubting certain guys are getting after it. But Moffitt has been going at this shite for a while and our lines continue to get bullied.
