I'm sure it's been asked and answered before, but wonder if some of the Houston peeps can tell if there will be shuttles running to the Wisconsin game. We'd like to stay in the Galleria region and not have to drive to the stadium.

TIA

Midtown is going to be a lot more fun.

Midtown is also right by the Metro which will take you to Reliant.

Houston hotels are empty on the weekends. LSU fans will be scattered all around.

Pick a hotel with a shuttle and tip the guy to take you. Taxi back.

I don't think the metro runs to the galleria, but they have a pretty extensive bus system here

Trying to use a work discount but my properties are limited being that it is Labor Day Weekend. So to the Houstonites which of these would be the best mixture of nightlife and being on Metro route (or if none apply)

- Sheraton Suites by Galleria

- Westin Oaks by Galleria

- St. Regis Houston

- Westin Houston, Memomrial City

Houston Metro definitely runs in the Galleria area.

St Regis is the nicest of those, don't stay in Memorial City. The first 3 are all pretty much galleria area so the metrorail doesn't apply.

Just do hotwire for 4* or better in galleria and take a taxi, isn't that far.

Hotel zaza is pretty close to midtown, the stadium and the gallaria. They also have cars and shuttles running all day.

Galleria area?

You'd be far better off staying in downtown and taking the light rail...as I'm sure many have posted in this thread already (haven't read thru it yet).

If you really want to go to the Galleria a day or so prior to the game---say, to shop or something---it's a relatively short drive from downtown. Gameday, I'd light rail it to/from the stadium if I didn't live here; hell, I might get a room DT just to party and take the rail anyways.

WE're doing the opposite. We are staying right by the stadium, then cabbing where we want to go in the days prior.

We can start our gameday morning by the pool, tailgate for a little while then head back for an afternoon swim and a shower before the game walking to/from the stadium.

The metrorail does not go to the Galleria. Riding the rail and riding the bus system are two very different things.

Stay at Hotel ZaZa or the Magnolia and ride the Metro Rail.
