This will be mine and my buddys first trip to the CWS. Can anyone tell us some good places to go eat, drink and hang out?
Thanks.
Thanks.

I'm surprised someone hasn't created a master list of things to do or eat in Omaha.

I believe a sticky thread composed by the veterans of Omaha would be prudent. It'll be my first trip as well. Geaux Tigers!

It all starts with Barretts.

Coach Chappy,
I figured one was started but i looked back and didn't see anything. A sticky would be great and helpful.

most places in the old market.
but here are a few.
upstream
ted and wallys
wheatfields
other places may take a drive.
beertopia
may be the best place to get beer in Omaha. I've never seen more variety of beer in one place outside of this location. It is amazing.

The Drover. Skip's favorite place. They love Tiger fans. Ask for Buddy, the owner, he is a cool dude and has some great Bertman stories. Get the Whiskey Strip!

Just check out our sub reddit. There's tons of stickies on the side about places to see, eat, drink, play, etc.

The Dundee Dell , awesome scotch bar with good food. Over 800 different single malts. Like a library of scotch.

Culprits coffee and bakery on 16th and farnam Was a great breakfast for 8 bucks--even has good LOOKING beignets (didn't try them today--maybe will tomorrow)

Good lunch spot near Cluprits is Block 16. The daily specials are unbelievable there. Closed Sundays though.
Local Beer and Kitchen is a new place close to the stadium that has 60 taps that are all Nebraska breweries. Kind of a cool place to get the local stuff.
If your looking for a place to drink somewhere different than the tents or Old Market check out Benson neighborhood. Two breweries and some really good craft beer bars, Krug Park has 60 taps, 1912 has a good rooftop patio. Not a sports bar scene though, live music venues and such.
If you are out late downtown and need some food go to the Localmotive food truck in the Ted and Wally's parking lot. Get the rounders.
