I know we're only 10 games into the season, but I think we have a feel on what we can expect from our great pitching staff this year. Nola has dominated as expected and its nice to see young freshmen succeed early in their careers like poche and bugg have.

How do y'all see the lineup take shape once conference play starts?

My rotation:
Fri- Nola (no question here)
Sat- Glenn (can be a little erratic at times could see bouman here)
Sun - Poche (I really think he's earned this role so far)

Long relief - Broussard, Bouman, and McCune
Short relief - Fury and Cartwright
Closer - Bugg (we might see Cune in this role to start but eventually I thinks its gonna be Buggs job as we continue to see his strike out ability)

Anyone else having a different image of the rotation?

I'm just so pumped about the baseball season especially since basketball was such a letdown.

I think your right. I could see Poche and Glenn flip flopping and Bouman could make a run at weekend starter.

I'm just not seeing Glenn as a weekend starter...He will win some games, but he's not top 3 imo. I do however think he's an important part of our staff.

I like what I saw from Glenn last year and I think he has starter talent......but can he be consistent? I'd be willing to start sec play with Glenn as weekend starter but he'd def have a short lease, because we just have to many good arms this year.

In the end we cant give Glenn the Eades treatment......we spent all last year saying we know Eades has the talent and just kept waiting for him to put it all together.

Faucheux and domangue were left off that list. Both will play large roles in the bullpen.

Eades was not the best last year. But he was good. Who would you have rather seen in the spot?!

Tigernation31.......I totally agree, we really didn't have any other options than to go with eades. The difference is this year we have other options to go to if Glenn doesn't cut it.

Yea. But we waited for eades to get it together. But there were games where he was just outstanding. So. There wasn't an eades treatment. There was a eades is our best option so we will go with him. And his competition isn't even close. So I don't know what the eades treatment is. I guess it's winning the job outright. But I get what you're saying and I do think we will go with our best option.

Dude call it what u want. Eades started off well last year but in the 2nd half of the season he lost his confidence and just didn't have it. Which thus made me lose confidence in him.

This year I'm confident in poche, bouman, and Glenn but in the end only two of them will start along side Nola. We might even see CPM go with Nola, bouman, Glenn just have upper classmen in there......but if bouman or Glenn struggles poche will be waiting in the wings or vice versa.

Sorry about the eades tangent.

Anyway. I like poche a lot and the way the coaches talk of him make me think he has a job locked up. Pitch him on Sunday with bouman on Saturday or Glenn on Sunday with poche Saturday. I'm just curious to see if we committee the mid week games or with a 4th SP. I'd rather a committee fwiw.

Based on the competition we've played, I like what I've seen from the pitching staff. SEC schedule will tell the story.

Continuing discussion on the closer role.......I just love having a closer who's a strikeout pitcher and thats exactly what bugg is. Cune is more of a pitch to contact type pitcher, which works well with our defense but i find is more suited for the long relief role.

......watching bugg pitch in person today brought back memories of ranaudo pitching.....6'6" pitcher hurling 94mph strikes.

Probably will start out SEC with Broussard at closer

And probably swap Glenn and Poché
