It's clearly Lange game 1, walker game 2 right? We aren't beating Oregon state if Poche goes game 2. Do the right thing, Paul

Poche has a bad inning and now he shouldn't start in Omaha?

So you would rather start a freshman in Omaha over a guy who has already started and pitched there in 2015? Btw: he started game 1.

Don't forget that Poche has pitched on this big of stage before. Even CY Young winners have bad outings, its part of the game. No reason to worry.

I understand the sentimental factor at play, but walker, Hess and Gilbert have been more more effective pitchers in recent games.

and either Gilbert or Hess will be there if needed as last night game showed.

I understand your mindset and what you are thinking because i thought about it as well this morning but after going over it in my mind I would stick with Poche.

Of course it really doesn't matter what you are I think anyway. Just win!

If Paul wants to set us up with best possible chance to win first 2 games he should throw Walker game 1 and Lange game 2.
We win game 1 and you Lange going up against Oregon state. You lose game 1 and you have Lange pitching elimination game

of course Paul wants to set us up with the best possible chance to win. are you suggesting he doesn't?

in spite of your thoughtless comment, I agree with your idea of starting Walker against FSU and saving Lange for OSU.

Do you remember how bad Poche was in Game 1 of the CWS in 2015?

I would rather Gilbert start than Poche. Yeah yeah, all time winning etc. Dude has laid turds on the field in his last 3 starts.

Poche had one bad inning yesterday. Something just happened in that inning that made the wheels fall off....4 walks and a home run. Yikes.

The game before that he only gave up one earned run against Texas Southern. Unfortunately for him his defense committed 27 errors in that game.
