We might not play Friday.

Then you just don't pitch Walker. I think a week off wouldn't be the end of the world for him.

Right so he basically can't start a game unless it's on Friday (assuming we lose Thursday).

He shouldn't start a game. Just let him get some work at some point this weekend and that's it.

Wouldn't be a bad philosophy.

The plan could also be to just start him on Friday if we end up losing a game or start him in a Saturday game (if we got there 2-0) with a pitch count. Walker could throw 70 pitches or less in a semifinal Saturday, rest five days and be ready to go Friday vs. SWAC.

I hope this is April 1, because I am getting nauseous with Strall and his BP Fastball going to get shelled

It's going to be Peterson, Beck or Bain on Wednesday.

Agreed.

I don't think he should throw either way. If we lose Thursday, we very likely aren't winning three straight games to win the tournament.

At that point, throw Poche Friday to make sure he gets his work (plus a chance at another W, I know he's close to the record).

If we win and get to Saturday, throw Hess or Gilbert or something.

Get Walker some work for a couple innings at some point. He shouldn't start a game.

I would start Beck on Wednesday and see if he can give you 3-4 because he hasn't gotten much work lately. Then go Peterson, Bain, Gilbert

'll be interesting what happens with Walker because we'll be playing today's SWAC winner almost certainly to open the NCAAs. Neither require Lange or Poche starting imo (CPM has gone different ways in this spot depending on opponent), so it might be Walker on that Friday.
I don't want to risk going out of any tournament without throwing Lange and Poche... I saw what Jackson State did to #1 overall seed ULL...

It's gonna be A&M on Wednesday afternoon in the rain.

I'd start Gilbert as the Hoover Met is his home stadium and he has pitched there scores of times. Gilbert might get you 4 innings then Hess/Peterson.

Thursday--Lange versus UK or Vandy

Poche next
