Play action with a mobile QB would absolutely kill us, kill us if we did something like that.

Yeah, lets 'stack the box', have our DBs with their back turned in coverage and let Dak just waltz for 15 a pop.

The plan you listed would actually be the LAST thing to do.

How about some run blitzes to blow up slow developing plays that MSU is known for, a mush rush to keep Dak in pocket, and a nice zone to take away the center of the field...keep an eye for the scramble, and have our corners take away inside routes at LOS......maybe something like that would work. Like we have played every mobile QB in three years to a great degree of success.

That is a very safe bet....LSU wins by 17 is more likely

It worked pretty well against Tebow. And Tebow had much more dangerous offensive weapons at his disposal.

An average Tebow game vs. LSU 2007-2009:

15 carries for 42.3 yards
12.31 comp/21 attempts for 167.3 yards

It's happened 12 of the past 13 years.

MSU has serious talent in their front 7. A much better DL than we do.

That being said, they're secondary isn't on the same planet as ours and we have much, much better athletes on offense except at QB. We have proven we can contain mobile QBs and force them to pass and it never works out well for them.

I think we win 31-24.

BTW, even when people hate on Phil Steele, he knows his shite. A lifetime sports gambler who keeps his ear close to the ground.

Surprisingly, he's been pretty sharp on his predictions against the spread. And he's called a couple upsets outright. I've got to think putting together that preview gives him a fairly good grasp on things, but who knows.

Well Detillier thinks Dak>>>>JFF so may need to rethink this...

Their *starting* front 7 is very good. The issue becomes when LSU wears them down. They don't have the horses behind them to plug in and stay at the same level. This is where LSU has a big advantage, and why LSU will pull away later in the game.

Their two deep isn't bad at alTl ofn the defensive front 7. We wil have to throw the ball well to win the game. Which we will.
