Defense and special Special Taams I would think would be with LSU. I think the home field is the biggest issue, but should be a close one either way. Neither team really knows what they have yet.

This doesnt surprise me. PS had UF as the East winner and a top 5 team. He said pre season he thought UF had the best Defense in the league. He was going out on a limb and if it plays out hell be a fricking genius and he is sticking to his guns. Plain and simple.

I certainly feel better now. No need to watch, hell, even have game. Think of the money saved! No team trips, planes, buses,cars, hotels. Gets better all the time. His reasoning for Florida having the advantage in Special Teams was that their kicker can kicker longer Fgs than ours

Agree this is what I was going to say. Last year I remember one of his editors responded after being questioned about LSU/Bama. The editor said that Phil picked Bama preseason to win the title so his in season picks would also agree with his preseason picks. Steele doesn't like to make adjustments in the regular season weekly picks b/c he so desperately wants his preseason picks to be right. That is one of his bragging points about being the most accurate preseason magazine.
