LSU would have won the NC in 2006 if he had been hired.

Although it seems simple, it is clearly eluded LSU and it's staff.

I was disappointed when Petrino said no thanks, to be honest. I mean he would have taken an NFL job a few years later but he's a hell of a coach

petrino doesn't pay enough attention to the defense. BAsically all he needs to do is make a great hire at DC and help him recruit.

He doesn't seem to be interested.

Books

what's your point?

every coach from biddie ball on up to the league knows this and practices it daily. what Petrino forgot to say was that it takes 'execution' to make it work. simple concept...anything else you need explained?

Petrino's 1 SEC win is impressive.

Look guys, Les already said LSU couldn't get the ball effectively to the playmakers because we aren't executing when we have opportunities and because most of the time the defense doesn't let us get opportunities. Les has made it clear that defenses need to back off and give our offense a chance to run smoothly.

LSU's major problem this year is the same as laqst year, not a great QB. Look at Bradford and OU. They are pitiful without him, although they still play hard and will win some games.

Also, one never knows about QBs. Look at Ohio St. and Pryor. They were beat by Purdue of all people! Their second loss of the year. They still have to play Iowa. With a 3 loss season, and some of the greatest players and coach around, still they struggle.
