Coach O is making some good moves. I like this one also.

Quietly excited!

Orgeron specifically said at the senior bowl that they would not hire an ST coach until the NCAA decided on the 10th coach this spring.

Robinson seems to be a beast recruiter. I'm gladly take that. The jury is still out on Joseph.

Re Joseph, apparently LSU lost out with one of the guys we really wanted because he's in the NFL now. Hard to compete with NFL $$$$$, especially for a staff position. Robinson is the real deal & hopefully can open up Calif for recruiting.

Joseph would be a great coach. Players in NOLA respect him alot. Versatile too. He wants to be a oc one day and sits in all the coaches meetings. Great guy also.LINK /

Joseph played QB at Shaw under Hank Tierney and later went to Nebraska. The Josephs are well known in the N.O. area. Dont know about his coaching abilities.

Robinson is a homerun. It's hard to find a better recruiter right now. Joseph is a great guy just don't know about his recruiting. He and his brother are almost legends in N.O. but I don't know how that translates to recruiting. Has anyone heard what kind of recruiting he did for tech? I haven't heard of him pulling any talent the way Hull has recently.

He should promote Thomas to recruiting coordinator

Has to be an on field coach, although Thomas could technically do the job behind the scenes.

I can't be the only one on this board who remembers Mickey Joseph slighting LSU when he was being recruited and now coming to LSU looking for work?? Maybe he should go to Nebraska and get a job!

Many on here were saying Canada would have a major influence on both these hires, but both of these options have O written all over this and zero Canada.
People who know what they are talking about know no OC is going to have much say in staff. Good OC's have enough confidence and arrogance not to think they need help from their own assistants.
